If he had a decent QB and a few more wins he would have a chance.
...it's a ing robbery. He's the best player in the league by a sizable margin.
If he had a decent QB and a few more wins he would have a chance.
Luke Keuchly?
I'd rather have K.. and we've had great defensive ends (Peppers)
Serious question..why is Houston's D-line ranked as average/below average by defensive metrics, despite Watt's presence, tbh?..just wondering, since I don't watch them very often..
They don't have any other rushers. None.
There's just not a lot of help. Mercilus has had a nice bounce back season but the rest of the guys aren't that good.
This is probably your worst football take ever...and that's saying a lot.
Of course your got homer ass would want Kuechly over JJ ing Watt.![]()
Kuechly is a great player but Watt is playing at historic levels
Kuechly is your typical "run around making easy volume tackles, look like you're trying harder than you actually are, get all fired up to show your so-called leadership, but overrated as " linebackers a la Urlacher/Zach Thomas/etc
It's pretty crazy that Watt is a DT and he's personally responsible for carryig the team to at least 3 extra wins this season. Easily the MVP regardless of team record.
Brady and Rodgers are playing in the most hyped game of the year today..if one of them dominates, it could go a long way in the MVP convo, tbh..
Tough to give mvp to a team with a mediocre record dats just the way it is ...
Salty af over the game last year
Keuchley led us to 12-4. WTF has Watt ever led anyone to? "5 TD's first time since 1944". Yea, cause they ran him 2 1 yard TD passes. Padded stats. K has been in the game 2 years and won Rook of Year, DMVP, and is still growing. Yea, I'll take my chances.
Easy volume tackles in a ing monsoon.
Nah. As great as he is he's still a defensive lineman and the Texans still suck.
is that you in the vid?
at calling the play at 1:50 a tackle for him... not to mention about 10 of those plays went for first downs
Caught me.
The exact reason I left these forums. People don't know .
Peppers in his glory days was amazing, one of the best DE ever (yes, ever). He led us farther than Watt has ever led us.
I'm not saying Watt is not as good as prime Peppers, but DE's do not have that much weight on success.
Look at the 49ers. Their LB's are the reason they are good. When they weren't there this year? Mediocre.
Watt led Houston to 12-4 in 2012 while running away with DPOY. 20.5 sacks, 23 tackles for a loss and an NFL record 16 tipped passes. Please stop talking football.
Texans ain't gonna make the playoffs. Just saw who the OP was. Typical uneducated NFL post from him.
peppers is one of the best DE's of his era, not one of the best ever. there was hardly a year or two where he was the consensus best player at his position
Okay 23 tackles you bum. More than the Raiders made all day today.
Mono stated that Kuechly makes easy tackles. Doesn't matter if they were first downs, he hustles every play and is the only one to make plays on D (and TD)
If I'm not mistaking, he's in the top 15 for sacks all time. I'd consider that one of the best.
that was Mono's point tbh. a tackle after a play went for a first isn't really impactful when it comes to the result of the game. when its a 3rd and 1 and you make a tackle after a 4 yard gain, it's really not an impressive play.
sacks werent even recorded until the 80's
he's a top 5 DE of this era, somewhere alongside Richard Seymour, Jared Allen, Jason Taylor, Michael Strahan
Please watch Kuechly highlights and talk to me. You are trying to tell me that K is not impressive and not very impactful.
He is also in his third year. Pleny of time to grow.. obviously a top 3 D player in the league.
