oh look, its the guy who said Cam Newton was better than Joe Montana trying to talk . How's life, you got homer piece of ? Panthers still a complete dumpster fire?

if catching is such an elementary skill then why are the Pats light a super bowl ring right now? because if wes welker makes just one, easy, "elementary" catch, they win that game. guy must in suck tbh.
    Is that you, dumbjohn?

Youre completely missing the point. Like I said previously good hands dont make someone a legit receiving threat. There's alot more that goes into it and Watt just doesn't have that skillset. Two of his catches were little cupcakes. The over the shoulder catch was a well thrown ball more than anything- -its not like he outclassed the LB on that play the way legit redzone threats do.

yeah, and nobody ever tried to say that watt was as good as gronk either. that was you, trying to go the hyperbole route and make it seem like people were calling Watt a great receiver, when people were simply remarking how impressive it is for a guy who plays DT to be able to go into a red zone situation and make that play. you are trying to downplay watt's impact on the game and overall beastliness because you have a personal vendetta against two posters who happen to be Texans fans.

Yeah, the guy probably wont win MVP. but to act like its some ridiculous notion to have him in the conversation is pretty ignorant.

Wut? Ive said he's a monster and the best defensive player in the league. His dominance on defense doesn't make him a good receiving TE though.

he's not a great TE ... but he's shown to be effective at the goal line, and not just in the mike vrabel "im wide ing open" way. let's not pretend that has no value

he's not a realistic MVP candidate because the team has struggled, and his numbers dont necessarily mirror their wins and losses. he has 5.5 sacks in losses, 6 sacks in wins. he has been credited for 5 passes defended in loss, 3 in wins

Actually two of his TDs were 'Im wide ing open' catches. So basically one well thrown over the shoulder catch makes him a legit, effective redzone threat. That makes sense.

    Damn you're dumb.

Johnson is 33, the number one sprinter in the world for 2014 was 32 year old Justin Gatlin. How old was Jerry Rice when he retired?

If stupid were illegal you'd be behind bars.
Andre is no longer the best WR on the Texans. It's Deandre Hopkins

Johnson is coming off a 109=1407 season, he has over 60 catchs/700 yards in 2014. The guy is a great receiver.

You apparently have not watched any games. He can't get separation anymore and drops tons of catches.

Who's the difference-maker on that ty-ass Houston roster, then? zpatrick? 80-year-old Andre Johnson? Jadeveon "my pussy's sore so I can't play today" Clowney?

Your football takes are almost as consistently ty as Avante's.
That's the point. They aren't very good

First off, I never said that got. Second, our franchise has at least been successful since it's beginning. Get your homer takes and stupid bull out of here. He can catch passes from the goal line. So could Warren ing Sapp. On the goal line people don't expect the lineman to make a play. It's one yard.

Well... Lets look at their first three years off each other.. I'll use Montana's fourth year included:

    Yards:
    Newton: 11,229
    Montana: 7,973
    Advantage: Cam

    TD's/INT's:
    Newton: 64/42
    Montana: 51/38
    Advantage: Cam

    QBR AVG:
    Newton: 86.4
    Montana: 86.3
    Advantage: Cam

    Rushing Yards:
    Newton: 2032 yards, 28 TD's, 5.6 rushes per carry
    Montana: negative yards
    Advantage: Cam

    Completion %:
    Newton: 59.8%
    Montana: 61.6%
    Advantage: Montana
Second, our franchise has at least been successful since it's beginning.
147-167-1 all-time record, only five playoff appearances compared to 14 non-playoff seasons (soon to be 15).

    "successful"

You do realize that I just posted stats? Your unconscious thoughts make you look at the stats and think I'm saying Cam is better. Guess his stats are pretty damn impressive those first three years.

No, the fact that you try to argue that the advantages are 4-1 in favor of implies that you think 's better, or at least on pace to be better, which will never be true. You're a homer got with ty takes, per par.

When's the last time an MVP came from a non playoff team? If there's one year for that to happen, its this year for Watt.

All homerism aside, I think they had to get in for him to get it. If they would have made it today it would be hard to justify denying him.

Yup. Like Adrian Peterson two years ago; clinched a playoff spot in week 17 by beating the packers with 199 yards from AP.

If they lost that game, no way he would've got the MVP

He needs the MVP regardless. He arguably had just as much impact as a franchise QB. Houston was probably a 3 win team without Watt this season.

I agree, but the league won't give it to him. 2 games over .500 with no QB? Even in a terrible division that's pretty ridiculous.
