    The Spurs' Matt Bonner has signed on to be a brand ambassador for San Antonio's favorite flavored soda, Big Red, the company announced on its Facebook page this week.

    Texas-based Big Red could not have made a better choice than the "Red Mamba," though barbacoa should have been a close second. After all, San Antonio is officially the largest market for Big Red nationwide.

    “It makes perfect sense for San Antonio’s two favorite reds to partner together to get fans pumped for another championship season,” Big Red’s SVP of Marketing Thomas Oh said in a press release.

    Bonner strikes me as the kind of guy to take whatever is free too. I bet his fridge is just stocked with BR now . It's free so that's what he drinks.
