i find it funny that networks are interested in charles barkley's thoughts on race issues lol. its even funnier that people are agreeing and salivating over a peanut brained, athletes take on race issues when he hasn't been in the "black community" in over 30+ years. but anyways, lets peel back the layers of sir coon, shall we?

remember when barkley was the bad guy and white folks didn't like him so he wrote a book about it???

remember when this s bag got put innocent lives at risk while driving drunk???

remember when this s bag broke some randomgeeks nose???

remember when this s bag was caught driving drunk AGAIN on his way to commit adultery with a tranny???

    his wife he cheated on

remember when this s bag threw a fan through a bar window???

remember when this tap dancing coon said this:

"I CAN BE BOUGHT. IF THEY PAID ME ENOUGH, I'D WORK FOR THE KLAN"

i guess this s bag finally got the payday he was looking for.

    *drops mic*
    Muh !

I think this is it for Sir Charles, tbh. Everyone from black celebs to regular folk have called him out for his ignorant line about slavery. Ignore everything else, you can't just say that kind of . Game over.

Just imagine how successful the black youth would be if the police didn't get in the way. The feds purposely delete their college and job applications to hold them down

"[Those expletives] who are looting, those aren’t real black people, those are s bags. Real black people, they’re not out there looting. I just watched a great story on CNN where bunch of folks wouldn’t let them burn down an establishment, it was a great story…. But unfortunately, the way the media portrays a lot of black people, we only put the negative black people on television. We don’t put the good hard-working black people. That’s what I said and that’s what I meant. There’s a perception amongst some black people that if you’re not a thug or a hood rat, you don’t wear your pants down by your [expletive] you’re not black enough. And they’re always holding us back, plain and simple. And I a’int shutting up and I a’int backing down.”

I don't get what is so wrong about what Barkley said anyways. I always say the Mexican-Americans that dropped the hard working, family values that we are known for aren't real Mexicans. Decent white people don't like trailer trash. Every race will do their best to separate themselves from the worst of their own kind. Yet blacks treat their scrum as victims simply bc they have the same skin tone...why?

People need to stop setting up this Coon tbh. His basketball takes may be amusing from time to time, but the general public is a lot more knowledgeable these days.

Charles isn't eloquent but he's honest and unbiased, which is more than you can say about most black leaders.

I've never gotten a good answer to this question. It usually winds up being a bunch of bull about not understanding what blacks have been through and how the system was set up for them to fail and not succeed. Meanwhile, the black unit manager here at my hospital has a masters degree. Seems like the system worked fine for him.

because he's perpetuating a false narrative. because he's a rich dummy who only gets television time when he's talking down or lecturing poor blacks. the only thing holding black people back is white supremacy.

Nah. The handful of looters that white racists and people like Barkley have been harping on.

Looting has been an element in many American uprisings... "Patriots" still jerk off to the Boston Tea Party. That was nothing but looting

What part of what he said is false? Also he grew up in poor ass Alabama. He spoke out when his alma mater (Auburn) hired a white coach instead of a black one...said racism in the state played a role. Hes not the Uncle Tom black people wanna paint him out to be. To me it just seems like its a case of the truth hurts.

i agree and i think most of the peaceful protestors agree the looters are doing more harm than good. there were protestors protecting businesses. its been over 114 days of protests and 3 nights of riots that the media keeps talking about. there has been riots all through american history like d-wade noted, most recently the pumpkin festival and the san francisco giants winning the world series and where were the outcries??

as far as the perception of not being black enough if you don't sag your pants or not a thug and those with that mentality are holding blacks back? false and dumb. did those few people hold charles back??? they didn't hold me back. who is giving those few people the power to hold and entire race back? what are they holding us back from?

barkley has a checkered past himself and he comes off as hypocritical. he isn't informed or educated enough to speak on the topic. he's only up there to talk down on a group of people he has nothing in common with. he's the white supremacists sock puppet just like larry elder.

basketball is his expertise, he should stick with that. rich people detached from the lives of everyday americans shouldn't speak on social issues if they're not actively involved in those communities.
