wasn't it Harbaugh pushing for him over Smitty? now Harbaugh wants out or is it because him and Baalke aren't on speaking terms anymore?

Kaep has been miserable so far, and the only time the Niners have moved the ball is when the morons on D get too aggressive and break contain.

As a Cowboy fan Im rooting for Seattle to win Cards to lose.

We already beat seahawks and have head to head edge. We play Eagles next week and control our own destiny if they lose. not sure we can win in Philly but i want that chance. Cards should fall out of the top spot Boys have an outside shot at the division and a #2 and would avoid GB until NFC le game I doubt we get that far we may even miss playoffs but if we do make it you want that bye. Our defense needs it.

Due to him and Baalke not getting along. Might be best for both if he leaves; hopefully whoever they bring in won't be afraid to bench Kraep. My first choice of candidates (outside the obvious Gruden, Cowher, etc) might be Steve Young; he could help Kraep adjust his game (both are similar outside the fact Young can actually think).

    Young??
that's a wild choice, he's never been a HC or coordinator before. He's obviously smart and knows the game well. That would be interesting. Have you read that anywhere or just going with the Steve Kerr type choice? Not sure I would push for it but wouldn't get against it either. I'm thinking more Vic Fangio, he deserves a pay raise.

still think the most re ed thing I heard was Infinite pushing for Jameis ing Winston. , I still can't get over that. He's literally the most unNiner QB possible.

He's mentioned coaching in the past and I feel if there's anyone who can save Kraep it's him.

Winston. That was a terrible take, even for him. I feel bad for whatever team drafts him.

honestly I would take Young over Gruden. I think Gruden is great on MNF, i'm sure others will disagree but he's good imo. Problem with him as a coach is he burns people out, and sounds like Harbaugh has that issue as well. Young can get on the nerves but I think he knows how to pull back when necessary.

    Not against Gruden though.

at that Winston, holy , I almost wanted to put that in my sig. He was so dead serious about it too, I still can't believe it.

I'm not at all surprised at the way the Colts-Browns game played out. There was a lot of holding going on in the Browns secondary today that never got flagged. It was infuriating. The Browns had 12 passes defended...which for some reason PFR doesn't have as a searchable stat so I can't see how that stacks up all-time, but it was impressive. Anyway, I told my buddy before the game that we historically play VERY tight games against the Browns on the road so not to expect a blowout or large margin of victory. Here's something I wrote for a Colts blog after the game:

From the Manning era forward, the Colts are 7-1 against Cleveland including today with an average margin of victory of 2.12. The Colts lone loss to the Browns since the Manning era was in 2011 when we had Kerry Collins playing at QB. It might just be an Indiana-Ohio proximity rivalry thing, or the Browns since 1998 are just historically a bad matchup for the Colts offense. Let’s take a look at some stats.

First let’s look at the stats under Peyton Manning. From ‘99-’08 the Colts and Browns played each other five times, all wins for the Colts. Four in Cleveland and once in Indy back in 2005. In those games, Manning’s stats were 108/164 (65.8%), 1117 yards, 2 TD 6 INT. You may recall our most recent trip to Cleveland before today was that ugly game in 2008 in which the Colts never found the endzone and trailed 6-3 until Robert Mathis returned a fumble for a touchdown early in the 4th quarter. Now let’s look at Luck’s two starts against the Browns (1 home, 1 away): 40/82 (48
.7%), 480 yards, 2 TD 2 INT. Plus, Luck has 3 rushing touchdowns against the Browns.

Manning and Luck have gotten similar assistance from both their running game and defense against the Browns. Although under Luck, they’ve had to do it by running back committee whereas under Manning, Edge James customarily destroyed the Browns by himself.
Basically the next time Indy travels to Cleveland, bet the farm on the Browns to cover.
