Gruden has some of that Harbaugh asshole factor which can wear people thin, but the players all said he was a nice guy... same can't be said about Harbaugh. Gruden and Gannon were like bff's in their time in Oakland. Gruden clashed with Davis because Al wanted a vertical offense.honestly I would take Young over Gruden. I think Gruden is great on MNF, i'm sure others will disagree but he's good imo. Problem with him as a coach is he burns people out, and sounds like Harbaugh has that issue as well. Young can get on the nerves but I think he knows how to pull back when necessary.
Not against Gruden though.

Tampa also had to trade 2 firsts and 2 seconds to acquire Gruden, so while they were amazing as he took over, they weren't able to replace anybody and the team rapidly declined, until they resurged for a little bit with Garcia. he got canned after a 9-7 season, which isn't that terrible given that roster they had in the scheme of things. i dont think he had issues with the players there though

that's good to hear. I like Chucky and think he's underrated on MNF. I bet if San Fran asked he would definitely return to the Bay Area, as he would've got a ring there if not for you know what.
Plus he's part of the Bill Walsh tree iirc.
I like Harbaugh but he really needs to learn to loosen up a bit.

i love the idea of Gruden since he's a big name... could help lure free agents and we'd probably be able to hire top tier coordinators/assistants with him around. but he's been out of the game for 4+ years and that's scary. he said if he's coming back it would be for Oakland, and a desperate Mark Davis would send some Brinks trucks over to Grudens place
