As far as I know, there was no RPM data for the current season up until now.

- Duncan is 5th overall

He was 8th overall last year. Manu always ranks really well in RPM/RAPM...the impact he has on games is monstrous. Part of that has to do with him going up against other teams' benches, but still.
He always closes out games against the other team's best though, unless they're blowouts. It's doubly-impressive also because he plays limited minutes... there's less margin for him to be unproductive for a long stretch.
Oh I agree. He typically has a big impact regardless of who he's going up against. He's just one of those guys who basically always has a big effect on game.

RPM is a nonsense stat. It will never truly account for match ups and lineup differences. Regression algorithms cannot account for matchup nuances. In the aggregate, yes, the stat can say very roughly if someone has a decent impact. But when used for ranking players close in talent the stat is highly overrated and relies on obscure methodologies to wow the average fan.
