horns declining marquee bowl game vs A&M.
Texas fans giddy over Texas Bowl![]()
Also, the Texas bowl and Cotton bowl are close to having the same payout.Aggy again

OU dropped out of potential Orange Bowl when Northern Illinois finished with 12-1 and took their expected BCS opportunity (Orange Bowl had to take NU with last selection due to NU making top 14). This dropped OU to the Cotton Bowl. The Cotton Bowl couldn't justify taking 8-4 Texas over OU team everybody thought would play in BCS bowl. Of course before this happened people thought Texas would be the top choice.
Eggy
Making 2 times less in the Liberty bowl
How come Eggy didn't want the 3 million?![]()
Another idiotic statement by dumbjohn. Clearly showing your ignorance on how this works.
Under the SEC revenue distribution model the league divides all bowl proceeds made by its members and distributes a percentage of the earnings to participating teams. Only teams going to a marquee bowl (sugar, peach, orange) will retain a slightly higher percentage.

Congrats, sec well recieve 6.25 per school and b12 well recieve 5.8 per school. Not sure if ATM well get full cut yet, but I do know UT gets still gets a bigger piece of the pie. Hope your graph accomplished what you wanted it too...
So Eggy keeps even less from that ty bowl game![]()
The point was it wouldn't have mattered if A&M played in the Texas or Liberty. Payout is the same.dumbjohn "why didn't you take the 3M????" Idiot.
Then why did you prop up the Cotton bowl since the SEC still splits a bigger share?![]()
Was never talking about money. All bowl proceeds go to conferences and are split up amongst the members which you clearly don't know about.
Why did you prop up the Cotton bowl?
Because its a January bowl game that is played at night with a national audience. The Cotton Bowl is always one of the most watched if not the most watched bowl outside the BCS.
this past Cotton bowl was at a 3.9 rating, a huge dropoff from Manziel playing in it. the Alamo bowl got a better rating than the Cotton bowl. Bowl ratings, outside of the top ones, depend on which teams play in it. Texas-Aggy would get ratings whatever bowl game they wanted to play that game.
So your rationale is that the Texas Bowl is equivalent to the Cotton Bowl in overall appeal and importance? Got it.Texas has fallen further than I had thought.
Jesus, you literally keep getting dumber. I'll go slow. B.........O........W.........L.............R..A... T..I...N...G....S......D....E...P...E...N...D.....
O.....N.............Q....U....A....L....I.....T... ..Y..........O...F......T....E...A.M...S
you asked why i was pumping up the cotton bowl..... simple, because it's a better bowl. you are refuting that statement trying to prop up the texas bowl.
6-6 your scared!!!!!1
:
Again, bowl ratings depend on the teams. But go ahead and claim your ratings championship. Aggy can't claim a real one.
So both ATM and UT smelled this year.
We could end the year on a sweet fragrant note but, ATM was NOT ALLOWED to play the team they hate more than any other?
So this obviously pisses off all the ATM fans and they are pe ioning the SEC to play UT... Aggies hate nothing more than being lower tier in a conference, so they leave the SEC for the ACC, right?
You're reaching.
Holy UT has fallen is they're ing because they didn't get to play A&M in a bowl game... lol
