We were invited and the SEC had 2 candidates, Arky and AGgIe. While Arky is ex SWC (and they hate the out of us), Aggie was the obvious pick. But the SEC denied ATM the right to further blot out that big hard orange sun. They should be pissed.

It's not "silly ." Aggy's whole iden y is still based around Texas, and they can't afford a loss. They will always be too scared to ever play Texas again.
A&M was 3-3 the last six vs Texas, and would have beaten them this season. Not buying it at all.
Aggy needed overtime to escape 6-6 Arkansas and barely eked past 4-8 Louisiana-Monroe at home. No reason to believe Texas couldn't beat them, especially since Texas actually has a defense this year.

Truth be told, the Texas Bowl got the better team in Arkansas. They will be a much tougher matchup for Texas compared to A&M who folded down the stretch.
Yeah...it's a smart move by the SEC. Ags are a worse team and they can still salvage some old SWC rivalry stuff but putting in Arky.

Ags losing to WV is more bearable than the media nightmare than if they lost to Texas. It would probably embarrass the conference.
