I don't think it was a violation, since the shot clock still showed 16. It has to show 15 for it to be a violation because it counts down from 17 to 16.9, etc.

I've seen 16 show on the shot clock and the officials make that call before in other games. Being that it was at the end of the game with all these possible scenarios to happen, the officials should have known that the eight second rule still exists. It's a blown call.

Yep, that is embarassing losing to them but it happens. On to the next game, Spurs will play better. Early in the year yet, these losses will happen.
