Hasn't happened to the Dubs yet and that's the problem. We've lost to two scrubs in the last week.
Dubs are this year's Portland/Knicks. Whatever team starts out hot. Things will even out eventually.

Knicks are going to come out fired up tomorrow, too. And the fact Duncan probably won't play means it could be another trap game.

And that got Splitter seriously needs man the up.

"Um, Mr. Splitter, we've ran 100 thousand dollars worth of tests and we are failing to find anything wrong with you."

    "But it hurts. I swear!"

To be fair the Warriors should have already lost. It took a last second Curry 3 for them to beat the Magic at home...

Dubs ain't . Teams with a PG as their best player/1 option don't win les. Iverson came close. So did TP. And no I'm not forgetting IT and Magic.

He's literally the only player to show up tonight. Huh?
I meant defensively he played lazy all night against Favors imo

We can only get away with CoJo as the only PG for so long. We need TP and/or Patty bad...
Why would you want three PG's at your disposal when you can have seven bigs? It's ironic that the team that relies more heavily on every player on the roster than any other, decided to a spot in the garbage for some reason.

Between the law of averages being in the Jazz' favor, their motivation level clearly being higher and the Spurs' injuries and lack of continuity given the constant state of flux to the rotation, I'm not the last bit surprised with this loss and wouldn't be surprised if they follow it up with another one tomorrow.

Even considering the lack of continuity and motivation though, the late game execution against mediocre to worse compe ion has been poor all season. It's unacceptable to have four such losses already.

Standings don't account for should haves. Losing home court advantage to them or the Grizzlies wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but we can't lose it to the Mavs or Rockets, Bulls or Cavs. Luckily the Thunder will be climbing the rest of the way.

Duncan can't guard these kind of players anymore. It's why Splitter would have been nice to see tonight but it still hurts apparently.

Not a fair comparison because the Dubs play defense and are committed to playing defense.

I'm just referring to the early breakout. It's never good to peak early in the season.

The dubs have been ranked statically high on D for the past few seasons and have nothing to show for it come playoff time.

Defensively - TD looked solid in the first half. Not so great to close the game.

They may not win it but I wouldn't outright dismiss them. I mean, we're in their heads, no doubt but if they get HCA over us, it could give them a huge boost of confidence.

They have good coaching this time.

Certainly but I don't think they'd win. Maybe steal a couple but that's it.

David Lee hasn't played a game yet and he's due to come back soon so I wouldn't say they've peaked yet.

Too early to call Kerr a good enough coach to get them over the hump

Spurs losing to the Knicks and Lakers wouldn't shock me tbh. Knicks will be fired up and the Big 3 will be sitting, and Kirby will be gunning to pass MJ on national television, meaning he'll get 40 FTs to ensure it and the Lakers will pull out a bull win.

They actually play better without Lee imo.

The Dubs have actually looked a lot better without him, tbh. I'm betting he makes them worse off when he comes back.

Anyway, I'm just saying because a team starts out hot doesn't mean it will hold up. We've seen it happen every season unless you're the 72-10 Bulls.

His staff is battle-tested and as someone who lives in the Bay Area, I've seen their games and can plainly see the difference in quality of play under Kerr compared to under Marc Jackson. Our series against them in '13 wasn't a walk in the park.
