No big man in the D League is playing better than Green, who is on an absolute tear. He’s tied for the league lead with seven double-doubles and has posted at least 20 points and 10 boards in five of his last six games (with“just” 19 points, 13 rebounds in the other).
At 6-9, 220, the 24-year-old may not have the bulk to bang down low at the next level. But teams in search of an experienced big who will know where to be on the court and bring effort and energy should give Green a long look. Why is he not on the roster instead of Daye or Ayers!!

Sucks that Daye and Errors are on the roster and he's not.

Eh, he's been playing people smaller than him for most of the games I've seen, but there's a fair chance he will be called up for a tryout somewhere.

Always believed in this guy. Even started a church thread for him. Such a shame that we have 2 clowns on this team while JaMychal is working his ass off for little pay

Green has shown potential, very explosive and can fit a need on this team. Instead we've got Errors wasting space, I'm not sure how much longer he's going to stay on the Spurs. Boylen really doesn't want to give up on him, he's trying to save himself from looking like an idiot.

You guys do know that Errors could drop 20/10 in the DLeague, don't you?

This guy is a nobody and would be playing the role Errors is playing right now...and the Spurs aren't eating Errors guaranteed money to make what is essentially a lateral move. There is no roster spot. Move on.

You do know Ayres looked outclassed in the summer league, and he's 27, don't you?

Tim Duncan looked bad in the summer league too. Why the did we keep that guy anyway?

They play different positions. Wouldn't make much sense.

Green isn't being held back by Daye and Ayres. Any team in the NBA could sign him at anytime to a minimum contract with no guaranteed money. It's his third season as a pro player and he's yet to play a single NBA game.

admitting my Daye hate, in the summer league he was the epitome of a chucker, doesn't do anything defensively, doesn't rebound and his shot is consistent enough offensively. So if you can't defend, don't rebound and can't shoot consistently, what good are you to the team? Green can bring some athleticism, rebounding and defense to the Spurs which is more than what Daye seems to.

Honestly I don't think he can, he was getting out classed in the summer league big time. Ayres isn't an NBA player, literally all this guy does is stand around, his teammates do all the work breaking down the defense, he receives the pass wide open and explodes at the rim. Literally that's all this guy does. I watched him in practice the other day before a Spurs game, dude was still bricking shots (Boylen was working with him). The only reason this guy is still on the roster is Boylen.

Boylen basically brought him along and convinced management to sign him, so if Ayres looks bad, Boylen looks bad. Boylen will continue to push Ayres for pt.

Ayres would be a 20/10 player in the D-League pretty easily. Might have gone for 30 against the last opponent. The increased pace and lack of D would make easy pickins for him.

And crofl at imagined Boylen lobbying.

That was so annoying a few seasons ago, because everyone thought he was actually good. Not a lot too forward to back then

I hold one object in each hand. One is a lame candy like a bite size milky way. The other is probably another candy, but could be money, a rock, or anything that fits. Which do you choose?

Now what if I charge you a penny to choose the unknown hand? What if I charge you a penny for unknown and change the milky way to a better candy, your favorite candy? What if I charge you a penny for unknown and change known hand to a penny, a nickel, a quarter?

When do you choose unknown? Why would you not, considering we're dealing with pithy amounts of mobey and candy?

Ayres > Daye. I mean, he has to be.
