Sure.
Only difference is we actually have evidence of the former.
You'll have to ask them. In the end, belief in God and evolution don't have to be mutually exclusive. I always find it funny that after everything that has been incorporated into religion, this is the part people have trouble with.
So where's that evidence that someone felt the need to design a mudskipper?
Sure.
Only difference is we actually have evidence of the former.
dude. Plenty of people thought the world was flat too. Appeal to the masses is a "logical fallacy". Look it up.
The Pope seems to think so.Can we have evolution and a God?
Just keep God out of science books and we're good.
There is no evidence of anything. If you need a world with no God in it, cool with me.
Sounds good to me.
Sure there is. You just wish to be ignorant of it. Nothing you can do or say or list will change the fact that there is evidence.
Suddenly evolution sounds good to you.
Lol
I'm a reasonable man, we can see the evidence that points towards evolution being a simple fact of life. No need to disregard or ignore the evidence.
why do you keep harping on this "needing a God" thing, as if that makes it any more likely to be true?
and its mostly uneducated folks like yourself who have doubts about evolution.
i wonder how long this will go on before avante starts spamming youtubes or almanac lists
So many questions, so few answers.
Even those who believe in God can't agree on how to worship Him. The Lutherans, the Pentecostals, the Baptists, Jehovah Witnesses, Islam and on and on. It's real easy to see the confusion.
How do we explain the theory of evolution and Adam & Eve?
In my life experiences it appears to me that most people simply don't care if their God makes any sense, they need Him. They want more than this so they have more than this. While those who prefer to deal with hard cold facts are content to have just this and they do.
Grandma die and shes now in a better place that sooths the minds of those who loved her. For the hard cold facts gang, granny is simply dead, deal with it.
Right now we are all gearing up for Christmas, buying things with money that reads...In God We Trust. That is the power this God has, the impact He has made on us. Most have no need to question His existant, what do you gain by going that route? Others prefer the old..."if you can't prove it, it never happened".....as we all know they are few.
No doubt you know far more about this than I do. I was going with how I was raised.
Not in the mood.
Well, it took 3200 posts and maybe 50 butthurt YouTubes, but good for you.
What do you think of this theory?
Instead of coming out of the sea the first creatures on land came from water pools in volcano's.
Possibly all life on earth came from mud pots around steamy volcanoes according to some articles I've read. Seems as plausible as any other valid theory.
I happened to catch a do entary on Saturn the other night on Science Channel. Scientists are pondering the possibility of life on the moon of an. We'll know more when the rover (forget the name) returns to earth in 2017.
We've all seen the footballer laying out on the field in obvious pain and it's looking serious. All around him both teams are kneeled in prayer. We've all seen the pregame prayer. How many times have we heard some athlete.."first off let me thank God"..? As we all know there are thousands of churchs in this country, you aren't far from one where you sit. These churchs are full on Sunday mornings. Right now in your wallet.."In Goid We Trust".
We go as far back as recorded history goes and see that we have always had Gods. Every country, every race, every culture had their Gods. In a couple weeks we'll be celebrating the birth of Jesus. Next up...Easter. As we can see most people want a God in their life.
Like I have said before, we all go with what makes us feel the best about things. Some have no need for God's or Christmas or Easter or anything other than evidence proving evolution. Me, well I can see the evidence and it's unavoidable. I can also see how much God means to most of us. While not a believer in the Christian God I do believe in a creator. It appears there is a good chance this creator is responsible for evolution.
I think most people simply feel better about things if there is an afterlife. So they shun the evidence because that conflicts with the Biblical teachings. The evidence is overwelming that we evolved from lower life forms. not that that couldn't have been the design as oppossed to the Adam and Eve story.
I do prefer the water pools and an enormous amount of heat being responsible for life on earth over sea creatures leaving their world for another one.
you've finally separated evolution away from abiogenesis. Bravo for you.
But why would you bring up people believing in god only to say you don't buy what they're selling.
It's real easy to see there is a lot of confusion when it comes to a belief in a God. Look at all the different religions, the different Gods. All that is man made. Being it is man made it will be flawed, so I shun all that. I can't go with all this just came about by accident, there are too many things having to work together to pull this off, I do see some sort of design being needed. It is confusing and a puzzle/mystery, so we can't rule out this design involved evolution.
No way I can buy the Biblical account of mans origins, no way I can buy...BANG!!!!!!!!!!....so I go with a Designer, it appears that design included evolution.
How do those of you with this....bah humbug...approach to God/religion handle this time of year? Do you get Christmas cards with pictures of the three wise men in the manger or has everyone in your orbit wised up? When you hear Silent Night or some other Christmas song on the radio do you.....yikes? Or do you totally ignore the why behind Christmas and see it as just a day off with pay and a reason to get/give gifts, with not thought of the birth of Jesus at all?
I realize we humans don't have the answer and since the belief in God has made such a huge impact on humanity I roll with it. No need to play..bah humbug.

So after all these months, Avante actually believes in evolution.
crofl
There are just too many things that line up perfectly for there not to be God. Night, day, moon, stars, oxygen, plants, animals, sea, earth, humans, hierarchy when it comes to living things. There is noway anyone can tell me Bang and all this lined up to work perfectly. Get the outta here with that gabage.
How many galaxies are there in the universe?
Give me a ballpark figure.
I've always believed in evolution.
