The Parker is real nice. Would be easy to get drunk on that stuff. I'm no connoisseur, but I really like it.
Uncapped the Unaged Jack as well. Pretty good for no aging.
I actually visited the distillery this summer. Tour guide said the unaged is their new rye mash bill. Since it will still be a few more years before their fully aged rye is released, they chose to do limited releases of the rye in it's "unaged" and "rested" state.
Yes, from what I gathered, it is the only batch ever made, and some say planned as such. All of the current "rested" are batch 002. However, I was also told only batch 002 will be in the same bottles as 001. The later batched will be in the traditional bottles like #7 is.
Any idea what these bottles may be worth in the future?
I finally opened up the 1792 this morning after work. Poured about a 1/4 of a shot for a taste, then switched over to a class and poured about 4 ounces.
It's real good!
I just recently built a shelf from knotty pine, and added the wine glass hangers yesterday:
Now I have room to expand!
Damn Wild Cobra with tha goods! Btw if u drink alot, be sure to include alot of coffee in your diet. Its protects ur liver from the harmfull effects acohol has on it. Dontbelieve me? Google that
It's totally worth it. Blue is very very good.
I drink a lot of coffee, but very little alcohol. I just like to have it when I'm in the mood. The Gentleman Jack, Aberlour, and Hennesy Priveledge VSOP are at about the same level as the that picture weeks back. The Captain Morgan's Reserve has dropped the most since sometimes I will put a shot of that and a little Baily's in my coffee. The 1910 in the back left has been opened and tasted, and the only one showing a drop between the two pictures.
Well, I had a shot of Johnie Walker for the first time ever last week, and it was the Black. I was impressed, and will at least pick up one of them. I might get a Blue, but more likely to pick hard to find items up when available. I have a decent collection now, and have other things to throw my extra money at. I didn't know when I bough the Parker's (post 65) that their Heritage Collection has a very limited availability, once a year. I should have bought two bottles, because now they aren't locally available.
I opened the 114 this morning after work with my neighbor who also works graveyard. I agree, it is good for the proof!
I also opened the Batch 002 "rested" rye whiskey. Both the unaged and rested are pretty damn good. I definitely need to get some of this new line when it's available.
Jack Daniels upcoming Rye Whiskey made from 70% Rye, 18% Corn, and 12% Barley:

Rested:

Have and have tasted both, the "rested" is 2 years old. Wonder what the final product will be like at 4+ years!
I didn't have any Tequila in my collection, so I bought this one today, which was suggested by a friend. Pretty smooth!

Gran Centenario Rosangel

The only shot i've ever had was Gentleman Jack. Let my roomates talk me into it. burned like . I stick to mike's hard and mixed drinks because i can't stand most alcohol.
Did you meet him on Craig's list?
Picked up a bottle after seeing your post. I can't stand it, the apple flavor makes me gag. My wife loves it though, on her third bottle already.
You don't refrigerate your Baileys? I do.
Never had any go bad. It's not refrigerated in the liquor stores. I don't want to cool down my 1 jigger ed rum, 1/2 shot of Irish cream, topped of with coffee...
It's already too cool with these at room temperature!
OK, my three purchases for today. All bourbons:
Left to right:
$37.95 Jim Beam Single Barrel; 95 proof
$49.95 Elijah Craig Barrel Proof; 140.2 proof
$47.95 Willett Pot Still Reserve; 94 proof
I like bourbon!
