It would have been hard for any QB to play well considering how ing awful their O-line was. Along with RB's who were clueless in blitz pickups and their stone hands receivers. Manziel was bad, but his team did him no favors whatsoever.
It was so bad for Fooseball Hoyer was spotted warming up on the sidelines![]()

manny already breaking records tbh
that's cuz his teammates don't like his useless ass
Doesn't Fooseball have that "it" factor that makes poor teams into good teams and good teams into great? The way this guy is hyped up you would think he was Almighty Jesus wearing number 2, while making miracles happen on the gridiron and leading the Browns and their fans to the promise land.![]()
Texans taking Manziel number one would have set them back YEARS.
if only the "it" factor was capable of reading defenses
yep.
1st INT his receiver had all kinds of time to adjust his route and come back to the ball. Stands there like a dumb and lets the db step in front of him for the easy pick.
lol he should have thrown the ball a full 2 seconds earlier. you throw the ball late and the windows will close
Joe Montana threw late balls that were caught. John Elway, Inbred Bradshaw, etc etc.
Receivers need to have a clue.
and Elway and Bradshaw ended up with over 200 picks apiece

he was open... look at the last replay that starts at 0:37. the ball should have come out once he finished his drop. instead he held it, slid left, then threw it late while staring him down
Don't be purposely obtuse.
I'm a Football homer but both the picks were on him. The first one he should've let go sooner like Philo said, I think that will come with time. The second one was just a horrible decision and the type of play that he should eliminate from his game. I do agree that he had some pretty extenuating cir stances to deal with this game though. Looking forward to seeing how my bounces back tbh.

i agree, the first pick is something that is going to come with experience. he hasn't played in a pro style offense, which is based on timing/drop-backs/route concepts. even though the left side of the field looked cluttered, you can see Gordon running a fly route to clear the area. instead he waited until the space vacated and only then threw it. ideally you throw it knowing that the space WILL vacate based on the routes you are running and the fact that they're playing man
the second pick is basically what i always made fun of him for, with that gif of his jump pass and (even though in the gif i always post its a completion)... that's gna have to be erased from his mental playbook
the receivers weren't doing him any favors, but its clear the defense was teeing off on Manziel because they knew what was coming with all the zone-read stuff
Manziel becomes the sixth quarterback in the last 20 years to be shut out in his first start, and the first since the great Rusty Smith of Tennessee in 2010.
The other greats include: Dave Ragone of Houston (2003), Henry Burris of Chicago (2002), Spergon Wynn of Cleveland (2000) and Danny Wuerffel of New Orleans (1997).
But ya let's blame extenuating cir stances....![]()
Ball should have come out earlier.
Doesn't change the fact #16 had all kinds of time to come back for the ball.
a. make the catch. 14-15 yard gain.
or
b. easily break up the INT
i never said the receiver was exempt from blame. but it was a poor throw and he got punished for it. not everybody is going to have the packers/broncos receivers.
He'll be fine.....next season. No he's never going to be an elite QB. But how many great QB 's ha Cleveland had, yep...one..Otto Graham. Brian Sipe wasn't bad.
Just shows ya what a bunch of professional football players can do when adequately prompted.
Couldn't get 'em off their asses since Week 3, but, Media got 'em all riled up by dousing gasoline on the whole in' mess. Not that there ever is, but, not a good time to be white here.
Mother ers.
Kosar was really good for awhile.
No Football on CBS in Texas bc of the Texans. Not like anybody outside of Houston gives a about that ty ass franchise.
If anybody finds a good stream PM me tbh.
Johnny getting W today, vs pocket passing version of Cam Newton.
