    Laugh all you want but I will be bumping this thread comes April when we lose in the first round or MISS the playoffs even. This is the ing western conference ffs! The trio is almost playing 30mins+. They will all be gast'd out comes playoffs time. We need Patty asap in this team.
    Oh I'm pretty sure this thread will be bumped either way as evidentiary proof to one result or the other. Because there's clearly a correlation.

    How can these other so-called "Superstars" justify their inability to win les 15 years apart?

    Solid bump tbh, Spurs at 7th seed. Pathetic how these guys lack heart, win 1 championship and disappear a year or two. Try repeating, that's what the great teams did. Im not denying the Spurs cemented their legacy, but failure to repeat is a huge part of that legacy.

    Repeat smack

    Lakers typically had a Yellow Brick road of injuries on each of their repeat attempts (aside from '01). They also feasted on a pretty weak West in '09 and '10.

    Boiled down:

    5=5.

    Repeating is not a big deal considering the spurs won 5 it doesn't really make a difference. Duncan has already surpassed Kobe's legacy in the media and the public's eyes. There is not anything to really prove anymore considering Duncan's legacy along with the spurs is secured according to the media. Its only some bs Lakerfans like you bring up to make yourself feel better. You have a prejudice against the spurs that's never going to change its part of who you are. Spurs could repeat and you would start screaming why can't the spurs three peat. I know 5 eternally burns inside of most lakerfans considering after every loss we have a bunch of laker trolls posting up in here.

    We've got to repeat this year. All top teams have. I still think we're capable of it if we get healthy and we go back to our top defensive lineup of TP, DG, KL, TD, TS.

    That was pretty much the war between spur fans and Laker fans the last few years in this forum. You would have to be blind not to recognize that. Honestly Duncan is a top 5 great in my eyes but winning another le won't put him ahead of Jordan,Jabbar. Those are the 2 guys that are impossible for him to pass due to the awards and accolades they have achieved. We have had this discussion before after game 2 of the finals in which you predicted the spurs would lose the series. Anything the spurs do right now is gravy. Legacy wise neither the Duncan Spurs or the Kobe Lakers will ever pass the Jordan bulls so again it doesn't matter if the spurs repeat.

    So I guess in the last twenty years of the NHL, that's hockey in case some do not know. There has been so repeat cup champs. Should would base this on the NBA where the Heat and Lakers are most recent but look at the state of those franchises.
