BTW - Gary Payton was ted on by Chauncey, not Kobe. Kobe was checking some dude named Rip Hamilton. -100 AARP points, you old coot.![]()
...& a crabby old coot ta boot. Always on the rag.
How about Gasol's pathetic record without Kobe. Its horrid thing to look at 20-9![]()
FIFY. -25 points for not remembering he has ZERplayoff wins without Kobe. "MVPAU"

Chauncey has a Finals MVP thanks to Kobe.
But we're champs, you haven't won a playoff game in 3 years.
No, he wasn't.
You talking championship (16) smack? Really (5**)? SMDH
** 50-game "season" on 1999.![]()
But isn't Duncan's professional temperament part of the legacy of consistency and greatness? Duncan never had a coach write a book talking about how he wouldn't listen to coaching instructions, never had public feuds with teammates, and was never the reason a good player would refuse to resign with the team. Teammates enjoyed playing with Duncan so much that they stayed and played for less money and for a very tough coach. I think you present the consistency of the Spurs as something lucky that Duncan stumbled upon, when in fact that consistency originated with Duncan himself.
Says Post Pau/Post Championship bandwagon be@ner. How many rings did they already have before you jumped aboard? lol
Became a fan in '84. How many rangs did they have then, unos? Dos? Tres? Quatro? Cinco? Not sure with my b@aner education. A little help here?![]()
You came here in 2010 just like most of the post Pau bandwagon talkers. Evidence says you've been a fan since Pau propelled the Lakers to the championship, not in 2008 when Kobe got his pushed in over in Boston, not in 2009 before the outcome was known, but in 2010 after you could come with a banner over your head.
Now that your barren womb won't hold an egg you're here calling our children ugly. MVPau is in Chicago, get after it.
it's Kobe's egoistic mind rather than his body that prevents him from being a decent player to his team imho. if he accepts a smaller role like Duncan does he would still be a useful player and make positive impacts tbh.
Wait......this thread isn't about the Magic!
I get your point, and there's a truth to it. However, I dont think Pop not wanting to retire and the Spurs constantly surrounding Tim with a great nucleus was his doing. Again, it takes a top 10 great player in TD and one of the best leaders of all time to continuously win championships in so many random eras as he has. However, he is extremely fortunate he didn't go through a transition period where Pop wanted to take time off.
I've always felt when you really look at it, as much as we hate to admit it, great coaches are much more important than players. MJ needed Phil, despite all the bull criticisms that Phil needed him. Yes, Phil wouldnt win 6 with a ty team, but they both needed eachother, Kobe needed Phil, Magic needed Riley, and TD needed Pop. I truly believe without a great coach, none of these guys would get to the point they did.
- this again? SMH. I've been a member of LG since 2005. Had I known ST existed, I would have beeeeeeen here talking !

By your logic, I should be a Bulls fan now.![]()
Don't see how Duncan's legacy is effected by not repeating. Larry Bird never repeated but people still list him as a top 10 and a lot put him as a top 5 player of all time. They are only two guys from a winning and individual awards that exceeds Duncan's career which is Jordan and Jabbar. You can definitely make an argument that Magic and Russell is ahead of Duncan. Factor all of this in Duncan falls between 3-5 all time. Repeating won't put Duncan ahead of Jordan and Jabbar. Duncan's legacy is pretty much set and winning another one would be just gravy.
Cept the stupid ass let a woman get in his do-do to the point he gave an NBA le back.
Here they are:::

So you didn't know ST existed before Pau joined the Lakers, then you and a dozen or so other post Pau types magically discovered it after you won in 2009.
