IIRC, the Spurs were actually #1 defensive team up until the middle of December when this ridiculous schedule started..
And that also includes the games Duncan has sat out. I'd guess the Spurs are a top 3 team per DRTG in games he's played.

Only pussies & asshole blame the scheduling.
And the ridiculous injuries.
Spurs defense is by far the best in league when everyone is healthy.
Only pussies & assholes play the injury card.
What do you call a perfectly healthy player who sits out three straight games to rest?
A piss pot chicken .
We're pretty good. Maybe Chicago and Memphis can be consistently as good or maybe even a bit better, they just don't have the offense to match though, IMO... health is our main concern...
Come playoff time HCA won't matter. It didn't matter last year. Heath does matter.

Are you lying about this too?
I dont care much for advanced metrics especially teh defensive ones that rate Harden so high. SPurs were very good early but lately they have sucked and although I dont blame Timmy for that I still dont see him as the DPOY ...but we shall see. for them to make a run at a top WC seed they will need to tighten things back up. At times with KL out Green has been the most impressive defender, but I dont live un SA any longer so I can only base that on like 8-10 games.
It doesnt bother me if he wins he is a great player and I am not threatened by his legacy since I already placed Tim over Kobe ...just giving an honest opinion.
I'm not sure what further quantification you want.
Who's more deserving at this point?
I am not sure. No candidiate jumps out at me but when I have seen Spurs Green has been the most consistent defender tbh ...but again that is only for the 8 or 10 games I saw.
Only pussies, assholes and Gene Hackman play the deserving card.
