he has shown he is the complete package tbh. Thomas has shown he has a strong arm, which is more than Manziel.
tebow and young were fundamentally different from manziel and from each otherAs if Tebow and Young weren't known as scramblers as well. They had all the flaws you mentioned+had ridiculous throwing motions+never did as much damage as Football did through the air even in college. Finding a balance, while not guaranteed, is much more fixable than having to fix fundamental things like a throwing motion or accuracy.
If you can't acknowledge something as simple as that there is really no reason to have a discussion with you tbh.

i understand many of us here billed him as a game manager before he was drafted and we want to stick to our guns... but he's shown he has what it takes to be an NFL qb. He's been miles better than Bortles this season... are people still thinking of preseason Bortles when ranking him, tbh?

i do think this season was good for him though... if he had early success with hisplaymaking" i think he'd get complacent. not winning the starting gig and then stinking up the joint let him know its not going to be a cupcake ride. but if he comes back next season with similar demeanor and play, i'd cut the cord. i dont think he has enough upside to warrant a very long leash

The rules don't apply to the Manziels. They never have. The family has had run ins with the law for decades from everything from illegal oil deals and shady business practices to drugs. They are lowlifes that get their ass covered in my city/county because of the huge good ole boy network here.
It doesn't matter though tbh. He'll never be a starting QB and fade will into obscurity on some bench, while making hookers/blow headlines a couple of times per season until teams don't want him anymore.

I'm a firm believer in .....don't jump the gun, give things some time....when it comes to sports. Sooooooooo many times we see things change if given some time, well this won't be one of them. Manziel simply doesn't care enought about being an NFL QB. Oh sure he'll say what has to be said but it's real obvious he's too immature to ever be a leader of men which is a huge part of the game.

its a very minor mistake. but its especially glaring when he had some concerns coming n about how seriously he took it all... and then it manifested itself. he should have been on his "best behavior" since there were already questions about him going in. and he even ed that up

I grew up in the same area his family did. Let's just say the apple doesn't seem to have fallen far from the tree.

Did you watch either of his two starts? Did he look like a guy who's been working his tail off to learn his position? Because to me he looked like he had no idea WTF he was doing out there.
Manziel can't afford to screw around. He isn't Brett Favre, who goofed off early in his career but skated by because he had great natural ability. Manziel doesn't have great natural ability, at least not at this level. He's going to have to work his ass off to make it in this league and he's admitted himself he hasn't done that. He'll be out of the league in a very short time if he doesn't put his nose to the grindstone. There's very little margin for error with him.
