The oldest I have is probably my Commodore 64 with two hard drives and monitor. I also have an Ericsson CF688 cell phone, my first, from I think 1997? Maybe '98. My first smartphone is a... Damn, I forget. Not sure where it is, but I picked it up in '07. I have a PS2, Sharp Zarus,

    Oh...

I do have an electric train set from the 30's! It was my Uncles originally, then his younger brother's... my father... and became mine when I was a kid in the 60's.

Got given a Gen 1 Playstation yesterday with several games. Not sure if it even works yet but I was told it did. Haven't played with one in forever...so I'm kinda hoping it does. Gotta track down a copy of Tekken 2 tbh.

Yep. Most of the games I got with it suck but the snowmobile racing game is pretty fun. Found a used copy of Tekken 2 at a site called JJGames. They have the PS1 unit too...and reviews for the site are good.

    Yep.

Those are good. Don't they work on the PS2? My daughter had the Crash's, and I loved it. They moved when she did.

I need to find the box my slide rule is in, take a picture of it, and show it off!

Wow. Can you please tell me if the game's aspect ratio is 16:9 or 4:3?

It's the original 4:3, and looks like it is put in a 1440 x 960 pixel viewing centered in the screen on my FHD (1920 x 1080.) Borders all around.

I have previously downloaded older games like Jaks and Daxter.

Played the first part of all three. All like that. Jaks and Daxter does fill the screen if I remember right, but a while since I played it.

Damn, what's good on PS1? I was an N64 guy in that generation due to Goldeneye and Ocarina of Time, but I played the out of PS2.

Still got one of these Panasonic radios. The leather is top notch and has lasted a good 25 years without any damage whatsoever.

Or you can just launch the PS intro over and over..that alone is worth owning the system.

Man, so many memories from the PS1 days..I can remember getting one soon after launch and being the only kid in the neighborhood with one. I used to disconnect it when we left and hide it, because if someone broke in, they weren't getting my damn Playstation that's for sure.

I used to love Twisted Metal..first game I bought and knew nothing about it..bought it simply based on the box description. NFL Gameday was the .. Mortal Kombat 3 was arcade perfect. Tekken 1 and 2 and Battle Arena Toshinden of course...Destruction Derby was great..Played the out of Extreme Games..Metal Gear Solid and Tenchu were amazing, first stealth games I played.. I used to love under the radar gems like Loaded too.

Not sure how tech savvy you are benefactor, but you can download and burn basically any PS or PS2 game you want from here: I think playing burned games on a gen 1 PS is as easy as taping the little button the lid holds down when closed so you can open the lid and swap games without the PS knowing you opened the lid.

DJR210 summed it up pretty well. I enjoyed Gran Turismo and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit at well.

Only driving games I like are the GTA series, and fighting games attained perfection at MK II and have gone downhill since then tbh. Guess I was right to skip PS1 and go N64.
