Deserves but won't get it. It's a quarterback league.

Anytime a defensive player has everyone debating if he should get the nod above the stud QB, he has done something special. It's far harder to make an impact playing defense.

JJ Watt is the only rival to Lawrence Taylor I've seen.

    Yep, this seasons MVP...JJ Watt.

He needs the MVP regardless. He arguably had just as much impact as a franchise QB. Houston was probably a 3 win team without Watt this season.
I agree, but the league won't give it to him. 2 games over .500 with no QB? Even in a terrible division that's pretty ridiculous.
I agree. It's dumb to think that the Ravens overcoming their choke against the Browns in the 4th quarter should cost Watt the MVP.

The NFL is only 16 games, which in my opinion is too small of a sample size to make the "but he didn't make the playoffs derp!" argument. You mean to tell me if Watt played for the Panthers, he's suddenly deserving? How many teams miss the playoffs on tiebreakers over teams that they hadn't even play?

GB would Zero chance at the playoffs and they could still win the SB. All because of Aaron Rogers.

Watt can't get Houston there. Unless he can throw the ball.

QB is by far the most important position. It's all Aaron Rogers, and if it ain't, it's a travesty. They need another award for Watt besides Defensive player of the year.

    And a forced fumble. #MVP
How many sacks did he get in their loss to the Cowboys? I'll save you time:

Watt had 4 more tackles than me
    no sacks
at his minimal impact v. Great Wall of Dallas 2.0
stat padding and feasting off mediocre OLs
    overrated
Watt is at home watching the Cowboys in the playoffs
at Watt missing the playoffs in his prime
at Houston blocking Cowboys games when Texans are playing at the same time
Houston has Li'l Syndrome (LDS) despite being 3rd biggest city in America
    major market city with LDS

For the simple s in this thread I'll break it down for you. Watt carried a 2-14 team to 9 wins, which is a 7 game improvement and ties for the third best record in franchise history(for those that can't count) with No QBS, no tight ends, Clowney on IR, no other pass rusher, yet the defense had the most takeaways in the NFL thanks to Watts' 115 QB hurries being double and triple teamed. This is while playing a position (3-4 DE) that is not supposed to make that kind of impact. So on the last day of 2014, you two manage to make the dumbest posts of the year

Since you are cherry picking, and are losing, post the 78 tackles, 20 1/2 sacks, 10 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, an interception and five total touchdowns. Oh and five fumble recoveries. I'll be waiting.

K - against the Great Wall of Dallas 2.0:

    4 tackles
    ZERO pass breakups
    ZERO sacks
    ZERO forced fumbles
    ZERO interceptions
    ZERO TDs

    Oh, and:

    ZERO respect from LkrFan
