Manu, Tim and even Diaw are exhausted. Maybe Green too. he missed his last 9 or 10 three attempts. Pop shouldn't have played Tim in the second half against the Grizzles. Fatsol was owning him.

Well blame it on Pop for continuing to play him when we have Green, Cojo, and now Mills who can replace him. I do think we should stop counting on him to be a major piece anymore and should only use him sparingly (10-15 minutes).

I think last couple of games Pop did take more ballhandling responsibility to Cojo and Benchinelli. (not that its a great idea but it's probably better than riding Evita to a wheelchair)

still seems now that Evita lost his role and is now patrolling the perimeter like a zombie from Walking Dead imo. He also looks completely gassed. Hopefully a better schedule and the comeback of our MVP guard will help soon.

Otherwise a trade might be in the works to help this aging team.

Both Manu and Timmy are tired as . If this December has shown anything is that both of these guys have plenty left in the tank to return next season, barring some nasty injury...

Yep Ginobili is fine and so is Duncan, donīt let posters that just want to make trouble here to blur your thinking. A 37 year old player is carrying a back court without their starting PG. Still he has a positive impact overall for the season +19. Not many Spurs players can say that.
Clearly the problem no one really sees here is that Ginobili is being asked to A) Play five more minutes per game than last year. B) Play the point which takes more of him physically. C) Guard better opposing players because our only perimeter defenders available are him, Green and Joseph.

Good observations, tbh. I think it is mostly the last two. He could probably handle five more minutes at his normal role, but too much responsibility for the pg (last season Patty would at least bring the ball up and start the set) and defense. That's where it looks like it is really wearing him down.

He's also averaging more ppg than last season, which already was improved from the previous season.

Sit back and enjoy greatness, tbh

oh I agree. seems like Pop agreed to as last couple of games he put less responsibility on Manu.

my only reason for bumping this is even with LESS responsibility and less minutes, Manu had 6 miserable points and 2 assists. that is the alarming thing. IMO he needs to sit out a few games.

All the 40 year olds are done. That's not sad. What's sad is the crop of idiots who we have to look forward to now. When you have 40 year olds still dominating the game, your future isn't too bright.
