TCU has the best team in the country simply because there offense is top notch, and their defense is clearly the best in the country at present.
I was really hoping that the Mississippi would be the only team to defeat Alabama this season. Just like they were the only team to defeat Florida in 2008.
TCU's defense is good but not great.
Oregon is better than TCU.

Nah they probably would of just had their way with 2 sheep instead of the typical one to recognize that monumental achievement.
And of course Avante would have loved to have been in that "mix"
TCU would stand no chance vs Oregon and it should be real obvious. Their advantage is speed, something Oregon has more of. It would be over by halftime.

This should be super obvious for those who have actually watched the most recent games.
Not so clear for those who memorize lists but can't tell a football player from a track athlete.
TCU's defense isn't that great. Not even sure if its better than Oregon's who slowed down plenty of potent offenses in the Pac-12.
The champion of the best conference in the land that whipped up on Michigan State vs a team that lost to Baylor who beat TCU but lost to Michigan St.
TCU would get trounced. The Big12 is weak as we saw.

It makes no difference how long you watched them. If you know nil about them this year.
All defenses will have a game in which the D has a bad game or even bad game plan.
I watched TCU/Baylor, and Oregon/Cal. Tell me how you evaluate those defensive breakdowns to what you see now.
Then one watches the progression to the Bowls. Oregon is given way too much credit beating an FSU team that clearly QUIT. TCU has the best linebacker in the country, a secondary that breaks quicker than any on the ball, and a defensive line that is very good at staying in lanes while still penetrating. Gary Patterson ( the best defensive coach in the country) has taken very quick kids and molded the best D in the country at this time.
