You're more delusional than a nutjob. Everything the Spurs have done is amazing but the Lakers are full of luck. Grow up son. Plenty of teams retool in sports, but few defend their le... let alone do it twice in an era. In fact, only 3 teams have defended their le twice in an era... Lakers... Celtics... Bulls... and Lakers again. Only three teams have 3-peated. Not defending your le when you have the same coach and same players shows a lack of dominance... and weakness. When you're the champ every team brings their best against you and the Spurs have failed miserably when they have been champs. There is no argument here who has had the better career and been the better team over the last 15 years. Kobe's Lakers have beat Jim's Spurs head to head more and have gone to the finals more. How you view that as less success just shows how stupid you are. I feel like I'm debating with a bunch of re s on this site.
Repeating and defending are two different things. Boxers defend their le, NBA and MLB players win the championship and start over next year. I've yet to see anyone's le being taken away the following year in the NBA.

The Lakers were one of the top two teams in the NBA when you hopped aboard. Don't try to act like you rode in with them.

I'm relieved we're the 8th seed. My tv guide currently reads "NBA Development League: Legends at Spurs;" for a second, I wondered just how far we could have fallen. They'll be fine when the postseason rolls around.

What a complete idiot. The Spurs are the defending champs. They hold the le until defeated. If they win this year they will have successfully defended their crown. I jumped on board long before the Spurs had ever dreamed of winning les.

Oddly enough there's no 2014-2015 champion right now. There's only a 2013-2014 champion and that team will never lose that le. You don't call a boxer a repeat champion every time he defends his le. In order to repeat, you have to have two consecutive les. Two les, not one, so you're not defending the le you won. You're only defending the moniker "champion".
