this is why people should be listening to Mayweather fans when we tell you this is not about Floyd running....Arum is now refusing Floyd's offer not because it's not fair but rather because the timing is a Mexican holiday.... Say it ain't so Manny fans?

Bob Arum managed Floyd for the first 10 years of Floyd's career and allegedly cheated Floyd out of millions....so now Floyd is going to force this old hag to agree on his terms...Manny is just a casualty getting caught up in the middle.

But Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, quickly threw cold water on the May 2 date, saying that because of the date’s proximity to the Mexican-American Cinco de Mayo holiday, any major fight on that date must include a Mexican fighter.

Poor excuse. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather fought on Cinco de Mayo before. Mexico does not care which nationality fights on Cinco De Mayo. They just want to see a great fight like most fans do.

Boxing has been dead to me for years, don't care anymore and will only watch if they step in the ring. I would not buy another fight at all, just a waste of money and you know who is going to win. If Pac and Manny doesn't happen oh well, care less and won't watch their next fights.

I do agree that a big time Mexican fighter should fight during that weekend. That's why imo, its going to be Cotto vs Canelo that weekend.

Also it wasn't til after Cotto and Canelo had talks about having a fight that weekend, does Mayweather challenge Manny to a fight that weekend.
