Kobe knows he's not getting the scoring le. He's given up on Kareem's record. He's going to ride out the 25 minute a night games where he makes an appearance and chucks the team into the hole as he stat pads prior to tipping his hat at the crowd and exiting the game.

I'm not seeing 24-5-5 by the end of the season with the amount of shots he's taking right now, it seems like this will be how Kobe plays going forward, since he's much more efficient when he doesn't try to play like his prime self (take 20-30 shots).
Probably gonna end up averaging 22/6/6 on respectable efficiency.

Now that Kobe is playing the style he was supposed to play all year, the Lakers are doing better.
I have been saying this all season, the Lakers are not THAT bad, they are a 35 win team if everybody accepts their role and play like a cohesive unit. Unfortunately, not everyone is following the script and it led to some disastrous early season losses for the Lakers.

Come on KK, you know your Lakers are not as bad as you made them out to be. Deep down, you want the Lakers to be worse because:
a) it lands you the pick
b) it helps preserve Kobe's legacy (during times he sit out)
But b) has been shown to be futile as the Lakers play much better, consistently with Kobe out of the line up.
As for a), Lakers will keep the pick, they are actively going for that pick.
