Not members of the current opposite position team (offense/defense) and certainly not to contest a call ala Bryant. Apparantly the rule is not automatic thus it was up to Jerry Jones err the refs to decide for the non-call.

There were bad calls and missed calls on both sides. This one is just getting a higher level of scrutiny because the refs announced it then revoked it, instead of conferencing first and then making the call. Both teams had their chances at that game and Dallas was the one that capitalized.

All of the contact starts with the receiver. He grabs Spencer's face mask and pulls him in. Spencer puts up his arms to show the refs he's getting worked. The receiver grabs onto Spencer and pulls him on top of him. It's offensive pass interference all the way.

Actually no. The contact started with Hitchens holding the receiver's jersey when he tried to create separation off the line of scrimmage. We've all seen the replays and pictures by now. Don't know why so many of you are bent on looking stupid by trying to justify what's obvious to everyone but Cowboys fans.
with or without that penalty we win the game. cowboys got called for a bull running into a kicker and the refs swallowed their whistle when detroit ran into our punter.

it was a make-up call for several bad calls that went detroits way. its not illegal for dez to come onto the field with no helmet on between plays when the defense is on the field. the refs didn't want to change the outcome so they didn't flag dez on a simple judgement call
They gonna lose in Green Bay if not to the Seahawks in the NFFC. Let them boys enjoy thier win.

Lost in all this is the fact that Romo was clutch. People are still ing over the flag that was picked up with 9 minutes left on the clock. Detroit was still gonna lose regardless.
