Comical aint it? Truth is Lebron took some time off from playing to fill his GM duties.
Replacing Reggie Jackson with Waiters would be great (for us), but I'm not getting my hopes up. As of now it seems the only confirmed piece OKC is giving up is Lance Thomas to the Knicks.

All these guys stink, though either has to have been something GM Lebron insisted on or Waiters was that unbearable where they swapped Smith in for him.
Surprised to see OKC spending for once - this puts them squarely into the luxury tax so they may shed some bodies.
Cleveland meanwhile gets $10 million in deals expiring next year ... could be used to trade for an impact guy at that point.
Just wasted my time coming into this thread. Kind of upset that he wasn't traded now.
Did you guys jump the gun, or was he reported to have been earlier in the piece?
Regedit in trade talks could shake him enough to make him Lamar Odom himself a bit.
Robz to the Lefty road tbh. Too early for the thread
What's silly? New York's season is over and they dumped two players and their salaries.
Yeah, the Knicks made out like bandits in this trade tbh. Especially if they get a 1st rounder somehow.
He was reported in the trade in the early reports
Wow...looks like Thunder get Waiters and don't give up Jackson. That's highway robbery for you.
Doesn't matter who the knicks get, this is a step towards something good.
It appears OKC is just giving up Lance Thomas and a 1st round pick and getting Waiters in return.
Don't see Waiters being a good fit for them, but I guess we'll see. Westbrook/Waiters together in particular would be pretty lolworthy.
Waiters has been good on offense even though he is an egomaniac. That said, the Thunder had no offensive firepower on that bench when they put Jackson in the starting lineup, now they have a competent, even if selfish, scorer off the bench.
OKC gets another monkeyballer, Spurs kryptonite
Spursfans forgetting how bad OKC's bench was last year against us
EDIT:
^they won't get outscored like that with Jackson and Waiters on the bench

It doesn't help the Spurs at all. We might be fighting for a playoff spot if Kawhi is out for a while.
Wow, huge get for OkC if they don't give up Jackson. Okc has Perkins expiring at 9m, collision and thabeet net about 4m in expiring too. Are the Knicks that desperate to to dump salary for nothing?!
They still traded for Dion Waiters; terrible fit alongside Jackson or Westchimp.
Waiters is being moved because he wouldn't swallow his pride and come off the bench... he's cancerous like that. Hopefully he starts pouting in OKC too...
hopefully it ing metastasizes
Reggie is leaving in the offseason, so I guess Dion is his replacement
No he hasn't been. When you play with some of the best offensive players in the league, you should be much better than he is. His usage remains high - basically the same as Gary Neal, JR Smith, Nick Young, Nate Robinson (see a trend there?) and isn't even in the top 300 in true shooting %. Can't wait to see him move into an offense completely void of a system.
The Knicks didn't get nothing in the deal ... a first round pick for prospect that plateaued like his hair-do PLUS dumping a bad contract. OKC gets good option value on Waiters. Even though I hate his game, he is only 23 and has room to improve.
Unless OKC plans on paying the luxury tax (not sure that's in the cards for their ownership group, plus don't discount how a plummet in energy prices may impact them) teams know they can hold them hostage in their bid to shed salary. You act as if the Perkins $9mm expiring deal is an asset. The only way they move it is if they take on someone with a similar contract value that expires beyond this year.
Both Jackson and Waiters want to start...so how does that affect OKC's chemistry?
They need to trade one of their refs away tbh.
lol with Westchuck, KD and Reggie Jackson chucking more shots than Lebron, Irving and Love, would be nice to see Waiter spread his cancer more to OKC
