Spurs have duncan, diaw, kawhi who can take advantage of a mismatch in the post vs gsw. Okc bigs can't post and they don't utilize their bigs on the roll like the spurs either. Gsw are still a difficult team for the spurs but Okc wouldnt have much of a chance vs them.

Smashbrothers is only a part of it. They have no weak links on offense so all they have to do is move the ball. Vs Okc they benefit from green playing pf in a similar way that spurs do playing diaw. Ibaka can't exploit that matchup. This also allows their defense to be smaller and more mobile.

Spurs haven't been cutthroat because they have been injured and they have to manage minutes. Also, LA would get throttled because they aren't any good and aren't a playoff team. Unfortuntely for GS, Spurs have the best 1/2/3 spot defensive combo in the league in Danny/Kawhi. Makes it very, very tough. But GS looks really good and less David Lee and more Green plus some good depth makes them tough.

He mentioned LA with regards to a playoff series in the same breath as the Spurs. I pointed out the reason LA would get throttled in a playoff series is because they aren't a playoff quality team. Has nothing to do with match ups. Spurs on the other hand are talented and a rough match up for GS.
