wtf how many first round picks are these morons going to give up. They're the ing reason you can't trade consecutive picks for christ's sake.
Well they had to do something considering Varejao is out
Faried is probably going to get his ass shipped soon.
Denver making off like a bandit, with Cleveland hoping they can lure free agents instead of drafting. Lebeta is really stretching dem GM legs during his "recovery" though. Still, this is a lot of going on for a team that'll get knocked out in the 2nd round.
nets 2.0
selling your teams future for 1 weak championship window
So is this Cleveland's first and the first they're getting from OKC? They need a bigman desperately.
Did you really just compare building around LeBron to building around Deron Williams?
It's the Memphis and OKC 1sts that they're trading away. Pretty steep price for Mozgov (too steep, IMO), but he's what they need. He's a solid rim protector and will be a good replacement for Varejao.
So Denver gets 2 1st rounders for a guy with a career below average PER while also getting below the Luxury Tax. K.
I don't care how this trade works out, that's just not jusitifiable. Lebron is great and CLE has a lot of talent so they may be able to pull off an ECF run/Finals, but that doesn't make the trade good value/smart at all.
This. Mozgof is a solid big. And I get Lebron doesnt play n the paint as much and not as good when gets there ...
But you are clogging the lane (helps on defense hurts on offense).
Giving up picks though when Love, Kyrie and Lebron are hogging the cap.
Adrian Wojnarowski: Protections on Cleveland first-round to Denver via OKC: 1-18 in 2015, 1-15 in '16; 1-15 in 2017. After '17, it becomes two seconds. Twitter @WojYahooNBA - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors/tag/denv....Dcvj90eZ.dpuf
why not just bring back Ilgauskas? jeez what a monstrous team they building
Damn 93 points on 15 FGA is impressive. Only other player I could see doing it is Durant.
from what i understand they are from memphis and OKC
So CLE has given up Wiggins, Bennett, Waiters and 4 future 1st round picks (Pick to Minny for Love, to Boston in Jack deal, 2 picks to Denver for Mozgov) for:
Love
Jr Smith
Shumpert
Mozgov

Isn't the OKC pick protected a lot this year so that it's likely next year's first? Two really late firsts for Mozgov isn't too bad when late firsts tend to be borderline NBA talent a lot of the time. Especially when Cleveland has no center and is desperate to save their season.
Two first round picks seems a bit steep, but they are protected, and for a team desperately in need of defense, adding Shumpert and Mozgov is a step in the right direction.
The Jack deal was to land LeBron man. That worked out pretty well.
