All these bull trades involving people getting traded for Candy Bars and ..You think there is any possibility of us getting Faried for some of our Scrubs and a few Draft Picks or something?..We could really use someone with his type of energy..Dude had a few games a week or two ago with like 20 points and 20 rebounds..What are some of your thoughts?..

Would rather have Gallo than Faried, but in either case, it would take a ton of players to make up that salary. Beli, Ayres, Daye and Baynes would need to go, and the Spurs would have to use their TE to make the numbers work. Something like those four for Faried/Gallo, Erick Green and Gee would work Signing JaMychal would sort of balance out the roster, but I'd feel pretty uncomfortable with the lack of seven-footers on the team.

Kawhi and maybe Tiago are the only assets SAS have that are the caliber of Faried. His game is flawed but his value is still very high. That's the opposite of the type of player you want to trade for.

Would be very hard to pull off. Because he signed an extension this year, you have to average in his current contract ($2.25 million) with four years @ $12.5 million. So for cap purposes, his contract is $52.25mm / 5 = $10.45 million for the acquiring team.

On the flip side, it only counts as $2.25 million going out for Denver, so a few things need to happen:
    (1) Spurs would need to send out about $7 million in contracts
    (2) An under the cap team would need to facilitate the trade for Denver
