he did lead to browns to a 10-6 season and went to the pro bowl back in 07 or 08 i think.
if continues to struggle mightily why not play him? neither of these guys are the qbs of the future anyways...
I don't think anyone is under the illusion that DA is a great QB or the QB of the future for Carolina, but he has the ability to at least be a short-term solution down there. If nothing else he'll get the ball out and downfield- hopefully to guys in the same-color jerseys. The division is still there to be had.
Like I said, I'd give Cam one more week to get his act together. If he can't get it turned around @ home against Atlanta he needs to be replaced, at least temporarily.

ehh. he had some amazing throws (especially on the drive which culminated in a pick 6)... he has a big time arm and he makes impressive throws, but he's not consistent at all.
this is why in the game thread i said repeatedly that they need to lean on the run, because a high volume of throws is not a good thing for Cam or the Panthers. he realistically could have been picked off 4-5 times
