I have never liked the Cowboys. As a matter of fact I chose my favorite football team, (49'ers) because they were the first team I saw beat the dog out of the Cowboys.
It's a Texas thing. Plus there was only one team in Texas from 1996 to 2002.
Oilers had a decent following in SA. I still remember that amazing Warren Moon comeback game against the Bills.

Im a fan mainly cuz they were the only Texas team around when I was a little kid (got to go for my home state team). Plus my parents are also fans so I was sort of born into it, tbh.
too many commercials in football, tbh
In fact, we are now watching commercials with football breaks![]()
I'd root for them.
I'm a Buc's fan, never rooted for the Cowboys - and I've lived in DFW the last 4 years.
San Antonio is home, and I'm all 'bout the hometown team.
Cowboys aren't the Lakers of the NFL because prior to the last couple of years, the Lakers have always been winners. Cowboys are more like the Knicks of the NFL.
Born and raised in SA, and I hate the Cowboys.
I am a Broncos fan, and I'm heartbroken.
Because most Spurs fans are Mexican. Mexicans/blacks usually root for popular teams like the Cowboys/Lakers/Yankees. No trying to be racist, just honest. Why do you think the cheers are so loud when the Lakers come to SA?Just ask DoK...he's said repeatedly that almost all the Mexican people in Phoenix are Cowboys and Lakers fans. They could give a about the Suns/Cards.
Cowboyz/lakers/Yankees have been dog for years. Who in their right mind would bandwagon those teams now?Maybe in the 90s early 00. But now?

I guess that's why when I try to talk sports with them they say like, "well...I hadn't really followed it this year..."![]()
don't understand how someone can hate a team....what did the team do to you?steal your lunch money
Most fans in SA were raised as cowboy fans. But is would root for a team in SA in a heartbeat, and still have the cowboys as my side .
Ahhh it's usually the fans associated with the team.
See Lakers under the heading Kobephiles.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the late 80's/early 90's during the glory days. Not to mention the Cowboys had the sickest jerseys and jackets and when I was a kid. Back when APEX was their outfitter.
Cowboys fans are so en led and blah blah blah a bunch of old cliched that doesnt apply anymore
Always been a fan, and its always bothered me when people learn that and talk to me about the Cowboys for no reason. Like why would anyone outside of Redskins/Eagles/Giants fans go out of their way to on a franchise that hasn't done anything in 20 years? The hate is just........bandwagonesque, really.
pretty much this... kinda crazy
good thing about following the games in Brazil is that they put a lot of replays / other games highlights during the breaks... that's already something
the papa john's every 2 min would drive me nuts
It's not really that mind boggling
Whoa whoa whoa why you gotta be stereotyping ese? But seriously, that was pretty ed up. For one I'm Mexican and I hate the out of the Lakers AND the ass Yankees. I love the Spurs because I live 2 1/2 hours away from SA and I just grew up watching them. The Cowboys are my football team mainly because of my pops and the fact that the logo/colors and the team was pretty damn awesome when I was about 5-8 years old during their prime 90's run. Never had a connection to the city of Houston at all, no team ever appealed to me. the Rockets, Texans, Oilers, etc...

I agree with people when they say the Cowboys are like the Lakers/Yankees of the NFL. But I hate when people talk to me like I hopped on the bandwagon of the CowboysWhat bandwagon? They've sucked for awhile
I admit it..
There's always exceptions, tbh...and props for being one...but seriously, if I had a dollar for every black/Mexican I met that was a popular team bandwagoner I'd be retired.Mexicans in the SA area don't count, obviously...but there are plenty of Lakers bandwangoners there...I mean ...don't you remember all the cheers when the Spurs lost to the Lakers earlier this year?
Actually, since the Lakers have slid all those blacks became Miami fans. They will all be Laker fans again eventually though.
Oiler jackets were better tbh
gy powdery soft blue..no thanks
I was raised a Spurs fan growing up in San Antonio. I was born in 91 and my first memories as a fan were from Duncan's sop re year. I wanna say that was the year of the Memorial Day Miracle, I wanna say that's my first memory as a Spurs fan. On the other hand my dad lived/lives in Dallas and was a big Cowboys fan, my mom's side of the family were as well. Houston didn't have a team at the time (and as a Spurs/Rangers fan I would never support Houston sports anyways,) so I naturally became a huge Cowboys fan. I think the term bandwagon is used very loosely. A bandwagon fan isn't someone who chooses a team like the Cowboys and loves them or only cheers for them when they're winning. A bandwagon fan is the type of person who has a different team every couple of years and usually follows players and not teams. I've known kids like this and none of them either liked the Cowboys. I don't think the Cowboys have a lot of bandwagon fans bc they're either loved or hated. I've never met anyone who was indifferent about them.
yeah but 3 hour broadcasts?
3 hours ?
Are you kidding me?
There must be like 6 minutes of actual play
The rest is commercials, ass tapping, crotch scratching, fat linesmen moving around trying to hide their fatness, dancing, etc
at the automatic commercial break when a player is injured
and the announcer taking that dramatic tone "we'll take a break..."
as if the player dieded
King Emmanuel, get in here!
