The Broncos knew the risk when they took him.
For Gods sake the guy has fused neck vertebrae and still managed to function?

Give him a D with the Colts and he would have more than one ring.
    He was very good.

Manning was carried to his 1 ring by Joseph Addair and that year's defense. If I recall correctly, Manning tried his best to choke it away but it was too much to overcome.

    Whatever.

Over the course of their careers, Manning overall had higher rated defenses than Tom Brady.

Peyton,,,,the biggest stat padder overrated fraud of all time. Never seen a guy have a first and goal from the 2 and constantly throw for a td to try and pad his stats. Glad this guy has a losing record in the playoffs and just got crushed again,,,,go make papa johns commercials,,,

Manning did not have that. Overall Brady has had better defenses in the playoffs. Bill Belicheck is not a bad defensive coach. At all.

Jesus, Peyton did not become a bad QB because of today's disaster.
Again, the Broncos gambled on a fused neck QB. And people are surprised he has a tough time throwing the ball with velocity thus short passes.

The postseason during which Fivehead threw 3 picks to 7 interceptions and the worst playoff passer rating of any Super Bowl winning QB. Meanwhile, the defense forced 13 turnovers in 4 games and held teams to 16 points per game.

Im not sure why anyone is seriously debating Manning V Brady unless theyre talking about Eli who owns Tom. But Tom is easily the best QB of the last decade and a half. I am a Bronco fan, I really appreciate the shot Manning gave it. There's a point when you just lose it and he definitely lost that it factor.

Yes his stats sucked in that postseason but he faced the top 3 defenses. No other qb has won a SB getting past the top 3. Can't imagine too many qbs putting up good stats in that situation.

its not like he did well in those games, individually. i remember the colts D inexplicably stepping up during those playoffs. bob sanders made his career from that one run

Sounds like Malone, obviously is hard to find a perfect match between different sports...

Both are/were considered one of/if not the best ever for their positions, both have unreal stats in the regular season, both underperfomed in the playoffs...
True but one got a ring so that seperates them IMO.

COT damn that would sting hard tonight if I were a Broncos fan! I would not be able to reply back either so it would hurt even worse. There is nothing I can say and I am a fan of the dude all in all and think he is an all time great but that has some truth to it.

Damn right I am pulling for them now. My boy from Miami Davis was out there today playing his ass off, showing what I always thought he could be at the corner and he is mad slept on! I wish Miami still had him but glad he is on a good team now and they are doing well.

Yes hence I said his stats sucked, but pointing out the context of beating the 3 best defenses. His stats sucked against the Ravens but I actually thought it was a good game considering that D was primed for a SB run. He needed Viniatieri in that game but so did your new ATF Brady during his runs.

Did you forget Malone made it two consecutive NBA finals? If it weren't for Jordan's Bulls, he'd have two rings.

Depends on who he faced but you are probably right, then again you could say that for alot of teams and what ifs. If MJ did not retire would Houston have any rings? How many rings would the Knicks have if it were not for MJ? Pacers? Alot of ifs there, but MJ's Bulls were there and thats history. Malone was very good though and his teams were very good, great coach as well.

That Rams team was extremely loaded. Number one offense. Top 10 defense. The Pats defense was good that season, but not a dominate defense by any means. Rams were also 14 points favorite coming into the game.
