In 13 of Manning's playoff losses, his team was favored in 11 of them. I think that statistic can put to rest the "Manning didn't have good teams around him" argument.

His arm's shot but it really is uncanny how much he's choked in his career. The 2009 SB will always haunt him but imo the '05 season will forever be the SB that got away. They were a slam dunk for the VLT that year but lost to the f'ing Steelers in the divisional round.if i were a Colts fan 2005 would be the most painful playoff memory

    The Torn Right Quad Game

Based Manning, playing through pain no man should have to endure, was still able to go out and play the last month, despite having an injury that would kill any lesser man. Praise Manning.

Did you forget Malone made it two consecutive NBA finals? If it weren't for Jordan's Bulls, he'd have two rings.
So what. If not for 0.4/2006 and 1/ 2013 game 6 duncan would've 8... What ifs doesn't mean anything

Sew buttons! You called Malone an underperformer. What is underperforming about these playoff numbers? Not to mention how much deeper the west was compared to the east

    '97 26.0/11.4/2.9/1.4/.8
    '98 26.3/10.9/3.4/1.1/1.0

You obviously weren't old enough to watch those series. If you think FG% is the only means of measuring one's self-worth, I'm the one being trolled. Obviously, the FG% is going to take a hit in the postseason when the defense is targeting the said player. Just ask Lebron. And again, those numbers don't suggest underperforming. Anybody can put up gaudy numbers during the regular season. It doesn't mean .

That Rams team was extremely loaded. Number one offense. Top 10 defense. The Pats defense was good that season, but not a dominate defense by any means. Rams were also 14 points favorite coming into the game.
That defense was very good in the SB. Even though they sorta cheated. My point is Manning did not have those types of defenses. I never said the guy was clutch like Brady. But no way the Colts go as far as they did without Manning.

Again this board as usual (not saying you) is a what have you done for me lately crowd. One is only considered as good as his last game. It's really tiresome and chicken imo.

Peyton Manning was a very good QB. He did at one time have a strong arm and an extraordinary feel for the pace of a game. But we rate fused neck torn quad. Peyton because it's easy to bash him NOW. Just because the media gets overexcited by a pretty funny, well spoken, intelligent, slow white QB, does not mean he stunk.

I get the impression that Brady is a pretty boy, social dumb ; but it certainly does not change how good a QB he is; Especially after righting himself going thru the KC game.

What gets me about Peyton is how greedy the guy is, it's real obvious he'll say anything if the $$$$$ is right. The guy will peddle anything, this makes him look $$$$ hungry.

Dude, he's not the lead singer of a punk rock band, you wouldn't sell out if Direct TV offered you $20 million to do their commercials for them?

    butt warmers
    razor blades
    farm tools
    suits
    furniture
    TV's

    ...also.

This..."just say this Peyton"....and we'll pay you, makes him look greedy.

Good, let him sell out. Keep selling. As an athlete, you're not promised tomorrow the way other professions are. Plenty of guys go broke in a few decades and he is ensuring he is not going to be one of those guys. I'm honestly not a Manning fan, I'm a Bronco fan, so I'm not trying to defend him but you're being childish by expecting a professional athlete to turn down Papa Johns.

If the guy isn't set by now he's stupid. How much does he make a game? This isn't just some player, this is one of the greats of the game.

I have no problems with him selling pizza, but what won't the guy sell? The guy is selling everything and it makes him look desperate/greedy.

Dude, Celine Dion is worth $800 million for all the ty shows she does in Vegas and that is like 60. Instead of retiring and just enjoying life she chooses to work and sponsor stuff. There's never enough money for some people, Peyton is only in the neighberhood of $100 million I think.
