Vey disappointed, he's on a 10 day contract, the guy needs some touches to see if he'll stick. It would have been better if J.Green played at the same time as folks in the regular rotation.
The Utah Jazz...owned by San Antonio since 1999.
NEXT!
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
Except, he's a d-league scrub, so, no.
The Spurs saw something they liked, so they brought him in on a 10-day. They'll watch how he practices and interacts with his teammates, and then likely sign him to another 10 day. After that, they'll have to either sign him for the balance of the year, likely with an unguaranteed year tacked on, or cut him loose and try someone else in slot #15.
Just saying that he's not going to be able to display his talents to the fans (not the front office) if he plays with the other scrubs.
Fans can't see what goes on in practice.
The Spurs will make the playoffs regardless if they give minutes to J.Green or not.
Do you even follow this team? Do you think Pop gives two s about giving some fanboys their jollies by playing some scrub? He's going to treat the number fifteen player, oh, I don't know, LIKE A NUMBER FIFTEEN PLAYER.
I'm thinking this would be a perfect cheer for the fans to yell whenever Kawhi is at the free throw line the rest of this season. Sort of a perfect tribute to him alone. Better than MVP (cuz that's not specific to Kawhi) and better than "Indubitably good" LOL!!
Maybe the coyote could hold up a sign saying OPA to get the cheers going until the arena catches on.
It would be pretty cool and unique if we started hearing "OPA!" chants when Kawhi's at the line, being introduced, or whenever he's being extra dominant. He should run with it.
Yeah, that would be cool.
I will yell it Feb 19th at Staples and Feb 25th in Portland.
The leader!!!
Go for it, man!!!
