No, can't do that. Can't have that looming over the S.B. But if it is pretty bad, I would imagine just picks, and economic restrictions (Salary Cap).
We want the full glory if we win--don't need no Masshole saying it won't fair!

Seriously. Just have a strait up game, hopefully discipline (Or not discipline) them by Friday so we can move on with this. It just serves as a distraction.

If the investigation concludes that the Patriots were guilty of doctoring balls after the official check, and punishment is handed out, then I doubt anybody will pay heed to a Boston fan's objections.

Thats not what its about smart ass, NE could have been doing this all season. In fact, other players are coming forward and saying they have felt the ball was deflated @ NE.
This season? C'mon man, we all know they've been cheating for over a decade. Even when they get caught nothing happens. Other than complete and utter legacy destruction.

The Cowboys should consider cheating then, their SB drought is getting pathetic. LOL Raiders have been to a SB more recently. LOL Jaguars have been to a championship game more recently.

Like anyone really takes your side in anything. Maybe your cats when you hold the wet Friskies in one hand and the dry kibble in your other. 4-0 against the Cats is plenty evidence enough. This isn't NFL Jam where its Russell vs. Cam. It's team vs. team and right now your ty Panthers are our .

Oh this same fat ol Avante?

Nothing will happen to Kaepernick at all over this Miami situation.

The Niners will make the playoffs.

Russell Wilson will join the top pinnacle of NFL QB's in 2014.

Andrew Luck will throw more INT's than half the QB's in the league and still look goofy.

The Raiders will still need a QB.

Darren McFadden will still be a pussy.

No rookie will make much of an instant impact on the offensive side of the ball.

Eli Manning will continue to suck.

Peyton Manning will start showing his age.

Aaron Rodgers will be better than ever.

We will hear about the "world class speed" of Sammy Watkins despite the fact he doesn't possess that kind of speed.

Michael Vick will end up the Eagles QB.

RGIII will end the season on the bench.

The Steelers will win their division. And do it with a stud running game/defense.

Tom Brady will have a subpar season.
    Lol

Brad Johnson paid for Super Bowl footballs to be doctored

As deflate-gate reaches DEFCON 1 levels — refocusing on Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots under the microscope — we are reminded of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Brad Johnson's admission he paid to have footballs doctored prior to Super Bowl XXXVII.
Tampa Bay Times reporter Rick Stroud recounted the story he originally published in 2012, when the 2002 Bucs were honored during the 10th anniversary of their championship season. Johnson told Stroud he s ed out $7,500 to ensure "the balls were scuffed and ready" when the le game kicked off in San Diego.
"I paid some guys off to get the balls right," Johnson now admits. "I went and got all 100 footballs, and they took care of all of them."
How much did it cost Johnson? "Seventy-five hundred [dollars]," he said.
    "They took care of them."
There are several important distinctions between Johnson's revelation and Chris Mortensen's ESPN report that 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots in Sunday's 45-7 AFC Championship win over the Colts were under-inflated. The two-time Pro Bowl QB makes no mention of inflating or deflating those 100 footballs, and teams are permitted to condition a dozen balls to their liking in games prior to the Super Bowl.
However, just as Aaron Rodgers prefers an over-inflated ball, Johnson's bribe of an NFL representative suggests quarterbacks are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to ensure a football meets their standards.

If you had read anything on this story besides "CHEATING CHEATER PATRIOTS CHEATED!" you'd have known before asking.
the Patriots' footballs were tested at the half, re-inflated at that time when they were found to be low, then put back in play for the second half and then tested again after the game. All of the balls the Colts used met standards, according to the report.

i don't remember saying it's a conspiracy, people will create stories from anything if it creates attention, but making a big fuss about stuff every team does is funny and sad tbh. I mean, in a league infested with PED players the cheating is "deflating balls".. i mean honestly
Oh so because PEDs are a problem, breaking other rules don't matter.

Again, someone please explain why the NFL let this out if it was not worrisome.
No one has yet to explain why the NFL has made themselves look bad.

    Still unanswered and still important.

This was expected. No way the NFL would be stupid enough not to cover this angle.
And I am amazed at the idiocy of Pat fans not getting it.

They won, a crushing win, so to with any possible rules violation, it would not have changed the outcome. If anything, it shows the paranoia surrounding the Patriots. They did not need to do anything, yet the NFL has let the story lose.

No, the NFL is just stupid enough to allow teams to use their own balls

Yep. As long as they meet certain specifications.
That might also change just like the reporting of eligible, ineligible receivers.

This lead to the inflation/deflation rules.
Ray Guy had his own football for punting if I read about this correctly.

It worked really well. It was slick and spun without much air resistance.
