They are both great boxers but seems like fans of each side ignore the shortcomings of their idol. Let's take a look:

- is a known racist
- can't read
- is known coward

I'm not a fan of Manny the person. IIRC, he got addicted to coccaine back in ~2004-2005. Sucks as a politician. Entered the professional basketball league of our country as a player and coach, disrespecting the sport and players tbh. I could say a lot of things. But who really cares? It's boxing we should focus on.

Both are the last vestiges in a dying sport. One single handedly put a otherwise unknown nation on the map. I have grown up in SoCal so the Filipino culture is strong and a welcome addition to the myriads of cultures that make up the Southern California landscape. I have dated a few Pinays and have seen the growth in awareness of the culture. The other is a tactician of a boxer. Granted, he hasn't fought the most strictest of opponents but he has won them. He is one of the top 2 or 3 boxers of this generation. Both have their flaws of course as do each and everyone on of you posters have. They will always be linked whether they fight or not. If they fight then people will say 3-5 years too late. If they don't fight then the "what-ifs" and name calling with go on until 4-5 years after both are retired. I would probably party with both. Just because I can ditch the well drinks and drank the top shelf.

I have dated a couple myself. My HS senior girl was a flipinina ...as was my best friend in middle school. They love hoops. Some of the most die hard Laker fans i know are flips. in fact A dude I played HS ball with gave his son "laker" as middle name and has a Laker tatt. They throw great parties and weddings (based off my experience) and have more "soul" than many blacks .. Though some of their cuisine I can take or leave. I definitely feel enriched having dated and partied and hooped with a bunch of em.But man do they have irrational confidence in Manny.
