Why did the refs finally give the Ravens time to figure it out by holding the ball?
They did not have to do that.

Answer: they realized the other team did not have the time to take down numbers. Nothing in the rule book about that, but the refs adjusted. And you will see this taken care of next year. With rules. Props to the Patriots for forcing the NFL to deal with it.

Now the balls, this will be interesting. The NFL will probably end up keeping the balls to be used the entire game. No team game ball guys a possibility.

I think Bill just knows that unless the NFL has video evidence or an eyewitness to The Deflating, then they don't have and he can deny away. Sure Brady will say the same thing. Ball boys will be paid off and nothing will come of this. If they were caught red-handed, Bill at least would have given some limp ed "we misinterpreted the rule" bull . Such a strong denial makes me think he knows the investigation doesn't have any solid evidence.

Or maybe he's doubling down since he knows he's ed, just trying to delay things till after the SB, then give everyone the finger as he rides off into retirement. We'll see.
