Doesn't make any sense, too, considering the backcourt talent on that team..

Their SF rotation is Kyle Singler and Caron Butler..

Their D is terrible(which is expected with Monroe in your frontcourt, and a backcourt of Jennings/Meeks), but that offense has been dominant..

Jennings is playing at a level that he has never even sniffed in the past, though..I'm still not fully convinced it's not just a hot stretch, but I guess SVG could be the first coach to finally reach him..

20-20 for anyone is amazing. Let alone a guard. Absurd numbers by Jennings. Drummond continues to tear it up as well. Drummond's pnr play really opens up their game.

They don't have good individual defenders with the exception of KCP and Drummond (more athleticism than technically sound defense) and arguably Jerebko (but he's more average defender who hustles really hard than actually a good defender). But in this 15 game stretch, they actually have played good team defense. It has started to level off quite a bit after the first 10 or so games when it was a top 5 defense in that stretch. Now since the release of Josh Smith, the Pistons defense numbers are 97.4 opponent PPG which would rank 7th in the league, 45.2% opp FG% which would rank 17th (this is the stat that leveled off after the beginning of the streak), and 31.4% opponent 3P% which would rank 3rd in the league. They still give up a lot of lay-up and dunks, as you suggested in large part to Greg Monroe's inability to rotate and recover or contest shots near or at the rim.

As for Jennings, he's always had talent, the good handle, quickness and playmaking. And he's still taking bad shots, or at least what would appear to be bad shots. But there's definitely a different approach in his game. While some of shots still look like bad attempts, he's forcing shots much less than he used to. And he doesn't get down on himself or his team if he's missing shots. He doesn't have a problem when he's taken out of the game. He's cheering teammates when he's on the bench. More than anything, seems like there's been a huge at ude adjustment. During this stretch, he has had quite a few games where he's just gotten hot from the field. That and the team winning can obviously do a lot for a player's confidence and at ude. And maybe it's just as simple as that. Winning cures a lot of ills. Other than that reasoning, it's really rather inexplicable if you think about it.

it's the same thing with melo. Phil did not want that dude on his team and did everything he could to let it be known without saying it.

The Knicks can't move forward until melo is gone.

At least Anthony didn't try a career change as he pushed 70 years old.

Jackson owned up to it. Let him.

Pretty well considering he's still a contract player in the NBA who makes millions. 20-20 is amazing, no matter who doesn't. Doesn't mean that player is a GOAT or anything.

Would be nice if the Pistons could win a championship again anytime soon. I can't go to the Parades down in SA, so I might as well root for the home team bring one back to the city.

Blair could do the same without the 20/20 performance.

The point is they are no better with him, and that extra 50m for 2 years could have paid for 2 really quality players who don't fake injuries.

Mehh but then we couldn't tank properly.
And why would he need to fake a injury?
YOu and Mid are funny you predicted injury (or faking of one) for a broken down wrong side of 35 star who has played more playoff minutes than all but a handful of player in league history.

your a bunch of regular Nostra endamus ...yall got some lotto numbers for me to play?

I'm guessing you never graduated high school.

Regardless, you illiterate , you don't need to tank if you have enough talent to compete. Kobe is the REASON you need to tank. You cannot afford developed talent, you have to rely now on entry level salaries to get you there. When is the last time the Lakers won a championship with an entry level guy as it's best player? Even Magic had Kareem. Shaq wasn't entry level, and Kobe was on the bench how many years before daddy asked him to dance?
