this is like me asking you after you're dead..."hey...who was the 2017 starting running back at Alabama?"

I wasn't around in 1926 when Blind Lemon Jefferson first recored. I never saw Howard Drew the first black sprinter to run a world receord way back in the teens. I never saw "The Galloping Ghost" play or the Four Horsemen. Never saw George "Little Chocolate" Dixon fight or Ed "Strangler" Lewis rassle, so how come I;m all over it? Why can I talk about Mozelle Ellerbe, Andy Livingston, Rozia Singeltary, "Big" Ben Stevenson, Bo Jones, Kenny Washington.....? Yep...historian.

When do you finally figure it out?

Neither of those guys went to Ohio schools, so the guy is simply ing around. Notice how he can't answer the question? He ed it up and is now bull ting.

Little man. there is nobody more into sprinting than...me.

You're the one who said, "The point I was trying to make is who do you know that saw that Anthony/Lewis duo play?"
You were equating your mastery of the sport with being there to see it happen.
Now, you're talking about it using books and recorded media to bolster your knowledge. So you've got books and magazines of all this .
You know what else has books and magazines and all kinds of concise trivia available to those that are interested?
    yep...Google...
gotta admit though...when people look back at Spurstalk in the 2010's....yep...there was this cat...old dude...hung out with imaginary black guys...made me waste minutes of my life replying about nonsense...

    I'll go slow...

Got into televised football in the late 50's. Starting playing myself a little earlier. What I didn't see myself I found out about, I researched. Yep, a student.

Google won't help you with....white sub 9.5 sprinters or white running backs out of the Pac12. You either know that stuff or ya don't.

Why do you struggle so badly with this?

did he play with Sammy Baugh?
While at TCU "Slingin" Sammy had Billy Bob "Moose" Bodine at fullback and Ronnie Bull at running back, they ran a single wing. Their stud receiver was Dave Sime who would become an author, he wrote.."Flowers For Algerron".

Baugh was also a defensive back and a punter, he averaged over 55 yards a punt while at TCU.

I don't have to answer the question, I asked it. I already know the answer.

It would be like asking myself what I want for dinner. I already know what I am having for dinner, why answer a question I myself already know the answer to. Get with the program old timer.

What you want is for me to tell you the answer, ain't gonna happen. I will confirm a correct answer though, which has not happened.

You haven't noticed you had to follow me here with the question, that's how interested in it I'm not. It's real obvious you Googled something then realized you'd misunderstood it, and you are now stuck with acting stupid over it.

Little man, there is nobody who ever beat Dillard in a sprint who passed up running in the Olympic trials...ok? So why this need to be a liar?

Little man, it's 1960, the German Armin Hary has won the Olympic 100m, what happened to SJS's Ray Norton? Who was favored to win both sprints ending up winning neither then ing up the 4x1. 1960 was also the first Dallas Cowboys season and the AFL came into existance then. The first Cowboy QB, Eddie LeBaron all 5-8 of him. The first stud AFL player...Abner Haynes a running back for the Dallas Texans.

Little man, it is funny watching you, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude...long time track/football/music geek/freak...ok?

Wrong. I know the sprinter's grandson personally. Have seen the do entation that shows he set a school record as well as do ents showing he beat Mr. Dillard in a few sprints.

No Google for this one old timer. You might need for this one though.

I don't Google shorty, no need to.

You're a liar little man, just that simple.

It's a fiction. Dillard was undefeated in 1945, lost to George Walker on June 15, 1946 and then went undefeated in more than 80 races until the 1948 AAU 100, won by Ewell in 10.6. He lost over 110h at that meet, lost in the FOT 100 and fell in the hurdles, and didn't lose again until January 1949 when he lost indoors over 60y/100y to NYU's Ira Kaplan. His nest 100 losses were in the USA-Scandinavia meet in Oslo in August 1949 [Stanfield 10.3, Peters 10.4, Dillard 10.4], and then on August 6, 1952 in Vienna by Thane Baker as both ran 10.4, and that covers his losing record from 1945-52 [excluding hurdle losses from 49-52]

I explained the lack of Google use previously. Shocking, you can't read proper English and then comprehend it.
