Is there some kind of pissing contest between Butler fans and Kawhi fans on this board? Some of you are taking this a little too hard.

Not at all. Some Spurs fans here would rather have Butler over Leonard.

Leonard clearly outplayed him in the first half. Butler got his in garbage minutes against our scrubs.

I only made the comment that some will look at the box score and make an argument that Butler scooped Leonard.

Jimmy Butler is a really good player, tbh, but I was discouraged by his playoff choking from last year against a Wizards team that wasn't anything special..he got outplayed by an average player in Bradley Beal, and he couldn't generate any offense from a Bulls team that was desperate for points..

Yup. Tonight was a typical Butler game against a good team: he got shut down, but he had to go out there pad his numbers in garbage time...

I can't blame him though, he's playing for a contract, the numbers ultimately matter for that.

He was never asked to be a scorer last year. That wasn't his role. He put in the work in the offseason and made himself a viable offensive player to go along with his defense. Can't fault that.
