Wow you called it bro.![]()
If a machine isn't working properly you start off by tackling the most noticeable problem first then go from there. Right now, out of the guys receiving heavy minutes, Enrique is the biggest problem according to advanced metrics. The eye test pretty much confirms that too.
+/- is a pretty basic metric btw. There are a couple more advanced ways to quantify offensive and defensive impact. None of the guys receiving heavy minutes on the team are as bad as Enrique in those other areas. Except maybe Belinelli and he probably won't receive heavy minutes now that Kawhi is healthy.
Wow you called it bro.![]()
But by ignoring other players' contributions to losses and the (admittedly occasional) contributions by Parker to wins, you just become the proverbial "one-note johnny" who adds nothing to any discussion.
It is just rinse and repeat until it is more than annoying...you create a desire in people to argue that it cannot possibly be as one-sided as you make it. Because it isn't.
Hopefully, they ass-rape the Mavs tonight as well.![]()
I don't think anyone truly believes Enrique is the only reason the Spurs lose. But again he's the biggest culprit and, fair or not, that guy always gets the majority of the blame.
And what's the difference between what you are saying about Enrique 'haters' and people on the other side of the argument refusing to acknowledge that Enrique has been a pretty terrible PG? If posters like you, Cry Havoc, or the French legion are so objective why not acknowledge that giving more of his minutes to Patty/Cojo is actually a pretty reasonable suggestion considering how bad he is playing?

Actually I am on record as saying that I want the best line-up for our chances of winning, and if that means Parker sits for the rest of the season that is FINE with me, as long as we win. I honestly don't care. I don't think he is quite as bad for the offensive sets as some of you all do, but if we can win more without him, then that is the line-up I want.
Just while the games are going on, I just get sick to death of constant ing about any mistake he makes while no criticism applies to others. You say he is the worst. Okay, but he isn't the only. Just try to acknowledge that during a game occasionally.
For example, to me (just my opinion) Diaw has been AWOL for the last several games and Splitter just makes me mad during the games sometimes. I LOVE the energy that Patty brings and we clearly missed it when he was out and need it now. That energy infects the whole team that is out there. But we have to admit that when he enters the other pg takes off on an offensive drive very often. And he has not exactly been blowing out the shooting percentages either. But I defended him when someone asked if we should be concerned about his "chucking" shortly after he got back. I answered no we shouldn't because his energy offsets any negatives. And he is a volume shooter. He needs to take shots and needs to be a constant threat to take a shot, and that is what he does.
Bottom line is that I have defended Manu (my favorite player but I acknowledge that he makes huge mistakes at times), Diaw (but not recently), Patty, Danny, Splitter (not recently),
etc. etc. I defend TP because he gets more hate than anyone other than Manu, and while I agree he is having a terrible year, he is not the only one contributing to losses.
You're way too sensitive about this. No one has any bias against Tony. I've already mentioned Splitter being disappointing this season. I already said the Parker/Duncan duo wasn't working tonight and that they both should sit. Are people criticizing Tony more than any other player right now? Yeah, but it's mostly deserved. He's the highest paid player on the team and the youngest of the big three so more is expected out of him. Of course people are going to be angry when our two backup point guards continue to outplay our $14 million "all-star" night after night. It doesn't help matters when the Tony Parker defense force has nothing to counter any of the criticism except blame Manu for some reason.

I think only one or two posters blame Manu for everything....but I put that in the same vein that I put the posters who blame Tony for everything.
Pretty ugly game from our guys. They definitely deserved to lose this one.
Same vein? Those two re s(greatyacht, hater) are still buthurt about the 2013 Finals for some reason...don't know why since Parker was just as terrible as Manu in that series. Manu redeemed himself the year after and everybody else has moved on. At least the Parker critics are discussing the current season in regards to Tony's play. Those two are still harping about from two years ago.
I watched the replay .. (I was out during the game)
Well, though Parker was bad but definiitely NOT the only culprit. But was outshoned by Rose by going hard at the rim The aggresiveness of the Bulls are evident...there were more FTs.
Then, again the rebounding of this team lately ...
Asses who can't jump sucks.
Hope we don't lose to Lakers (again).
Everyone dribbled an stopped under the rim an tried to kick it out. Only to get it stolen. Couldn't make or rebound.
Actually, a day later, I am wondering if Pop is just trolling us via TNT. They do seem to avoid the major network wins until the playoffs...
Not many fLakers fans at AT&T as last game!
