How do you know they weren't the ones that deflated the balls
No one can know definitively, but it makes no sense to incriminate yourself.

"incriminating yourself"? Wut does that have to do with anything?

You want to punish the Pats but you have no evidence they did anything wrong.

I'm saying it could have been a ref that did it but you don't want to punish him. Why not? They fondled the balls just the same as Brady did.

So you're saying that it makes sense for a referee to intentionally cause an infraction themselves, then, put themselves in the cross hairs by exposing that same infraction? That has a lot to do with whether or not a ref is a likely suspect. The logic behind an action is important. If it was at all reasonable that they could have done it, then I'm all ears. Feel free to provide an example.

This isn't a personal hatred situation, I have no personal vendetta against them. It's not like Seattle a member of the AFC East and have been tortured by them for an eternity. Seattle is in another conference, a different division, and they beat them the last time the two teams squared off. I could go on about why I have no ill will, but you get the point.

The refs didn't expose the infraction. The Colts did.

If you're asking for a motive, again, they could be going Tim Donaghy and have money on the Pats

I know you're just trolling with these re ed takes, but literally one of the first details to come out about this story is that the game balls passed inspection initially and given back to the teams two hours before the game. Then at halftime, the Patriots' game balls were found to be inflated well below the legal limit. The only possible explanation was that someone in the Patriots' organization tampered with their set of game balls during that two-hour period.

Apparently the Ravens tipped the Colts to the deflated balls (Which I find hilarious ). So I was wrong there, but at the same time you weren't entirely correct. Were the same refs used in both games? If not, is this a multi ref conspiracy in favor of the Patriots? How far on the unreasonable tin foil route are we going to go here? Lets be serious.

Then it should be pretty easy to prove, since the balls were out in the open on the sidelines, and there's cameras covering every square inch of that place.

While the NFL says its investigation into the 11 deflated Patriots footballs is "ongoing," the website ProFootballTalk dropped an important piece of information Wednesday afternoon, citing a source who confirmed that the footballs were tested properly before the game and were found to have a pressure between 12.5 PSI and 13.5 PSI.

Why is this a big deal?

Well, it means the deflation occurred after the referees gave the balls back to both teams just before kickoff. Not good news for the Patriots.

The one other bit of information in the ProFootballTalk story: The league, made aware of the possibility of a deflated football during the first half, opted not to stop the game to inspect but rather decided to wait until halftime.

Why didn't Baltimore say anything when it happened? I'm correct that it was the Colts that complained about it to the NFL. The Ravens are complaining like the es that come out of the woodwork of the Cosby rape accusations after rape victim #1 comes out first.

Lol you have no proof of intentional wrongdoing but you seriously want to hang the Pats.

I don't even give a about the Pats other than this story and media frenzy over it are so ing re ed.

if this was such a horrible infraction, why didn't the NFL stop the game to inspect? Not good news for the NFL

Let me know when some actual proof pops up

Why Baltimore didn't say anything is irrelevant. Perhaps they couldn't have definitively prove anything at the time. But the fact that they pointed it out, and it showed up again VS the Colts, is probably indicative of the NFL having a stronger case than some may think.

Of course I as an individual have no proof, I'm speculating just like everyone else, whether you're on one side of the argument or the other.

Perhaps it is re ed, perhaps it's not. I became more interested after the press conferences, they seemed off to me.

If it was such a heinous crime as to compromise the integrity of the game, why would they let the Patriots play like that for half of a ing championship game?

The other option was to stop the game during the first half in order to do the investigation. Needless to say, Patriots fans would be screaming bloody murder with all sorts of conspiracy theories if that happened.

It's re ed to say they should and will get punished when there's no evidence of intentional wrong doing.

I guess that's the approach you took while your ex wife was getting Johnny Long ed.

J/K, all joking aside. I guess that's the approach detectives take when they're going over a case. Hunches, inclinations, and following leads are pretty much irrelevant. While hunches are just that, hunches. Sometimes you know when a mother er is guilty, and it's only a matter of time. Perhaps I'm wrong, but this has that feeling to me. I understand the logic of innocent until proven guilty. But at this point, the conduct of those under the microscope, the protocol of handling the balls etc all point towards the most likely inevitable.

Lol the ol make a long joke about Jerome hitting it and then dropping the j/k at the end

the point there is that you have the option to crucify the pats if you want but the NFL doesn't.

Likely the NFL gets nothing imo.

The rep damage is already done. Again the fact the NFL has now willingly tainted their product says it all. There is no good reason to bring this out before the SB. This in itself, is very telling.
