He took a month off and has been back for like 8-10 games. At what point will the injury/shape card not be valid?
You should give up on answering him tbh, no point.

TP is not injured but Enrique fans will keep saying he's injured..

He had a strained hamstring, so your phrasing it as "he took a month off" is pretty disingenuous. He didn't play or work out for a month, so he's still getting in shape. Did you watch the last game? Did you see when Pop went to Tony on the bench and asked if he felt ok? He's been doing that frequently. Of course they're not going to advertise the fact that he's less than 100%. Why won't you answer the question about Parker playing 35 mpg against the Heat and the team gelling so well?

Why am I not surprised that the best offensive 5 is Kawhi, Manu, Boris, Danny and Patty

Timmy and Parker stagnates the offense..
Basketball is more than offense. They're the Spurs, not the '05 Suns.

It was a mild hamstring strain. Literally a day to day injury, but if you want to be in denial and blame Enrique's decline on that then go right ahead. Doesnt make sense that arguably the most conservative franchise would play an injured player heavy minutes but whatever helps you sleep at night brah.

I have no idea why you keep up bringing last year? Last year isn't going to make this year's Enrique a good player.

I bring up last year because I think the idea that Parker could play 35 mpg against Miami in June '14 and be effective but be completely useless in January '15 seems very unlikely.

I agree Parker's not a good defender. I've never argued that.

Well until he actually plays like a starting PG this year there's no reason for you to be a shield for him. The criticism he is receiving is well deserved.

I'm not a "shield." I'm trying to talk about basketball objectively, and it seems to me that many people here are over-reacting emotionally to Tony's subpar year so far by saying he shouldn't play at all. What would you do if you were Pop-- not play him at all?

    Leonard:

    Patty:

Apparently, They're in no particular order. You just wanted to make this thread about Kiwi.

I never once mentioned Parker in this thread. The On-Off numbers were recently updated so I felt like posting the data for my fellow Spurstalk members. This discussion is about ALL the Spurs players. Unfortunately, there are certain player fans(Mr Bones) that keep ting up these threads with inane rants about Tony Parker for some reason.

Pop trying not to damage a certain French point guard's fragile ego. Makes me respect Patty even more - he's always cheering his teammates whether he plays 3 mins or 30 mins.

parker has been playing hurt, is not 100%, and is not in shape yet. I've said that over and over again. Stats from a player who isn't 100% are naturally not indicative of his possible 100% effectiveness. It's not that hard to understand.
