You didn't think that nikkra was gonna leave $25m on the table, did you?![]()
My inside sources say hes going to have a Steve Nash like role next season

How Nash gets a free pass still continues to elude me.![]()
He's going to duck his kids too?
"Look, LaMarcus, this is LA. You get to be the best player on the floor, the spotlight, the women, the endorsements. We're talking championships, with an s."
"As long as you understand this is my team"
Of course he will return, he is one you will have to literally drag away from this game because of his nature. He will want to play until he is 45 years old if he can physically walk onto the floor at the time. MJ had the same problems giving up the game, he will be the same.
MJ "retired" multiple times though so I can understand wanting to come back and play since he missed a few good years where he could have won more rings.
But when you've played 15+ straight years and clearly declining, you should know when say ok I'm done.
It's real ugly when players dont recognize when their time is up. Some do, some dont.
He`s going to have this baseball Tommy John surgery, which means he is out for about full year. He`ll sign another 48.5 month after return
Thank god. I can finally sober up and have something to look forward to next season.
Kobe just trying to retire same year as Duncan.
Dude really doesn't know when to just hang them up. It's really kind of pathetic.
He's not done, he has a few good seasons left in him maybe, say 3 or 4 years if he has a reduced role. However if he wants to stay healthy he needs a reduced role on a contending team, and the Lakers will probably not be in contention next season. Which means he could likely have a season ending injury next season to. He needs to have a reduced role to play a few more seasons, he won't leave the Lakers so it won't happen but he can't be "the man" anymore like he thinks. Lakers will just play him like crazy next season to and he will have a possible injury, so it doesn't matter. He should retire if he wants to remain a Laker, or keep playing and ask for buyout to sign with a contender next year. Lakers won't be a contender next season, they need to go full rebuild and stop teasing the fans having Kobe on the team, he's just there to sell tickets.

Actually he's just a smart business man. He and the Lakers can continue to make money while the fans endure terrible basketball(of course, no one gives a that Laker fans are suffering...not even the Lakers). It ain't pretty, but it's profitable...and Kobe and the Lakers will pump from that well until it's completely dry.
He's not going away like this. He'll come back next season, play reduced minutes and play in a more realistic role.
You would hope so ...but I think he is done. I think he still gets injured in a reduced role ...
Like I said they are going to have to drag that guy off the court. I know a fan of his who said he should just save face now and not embarass himself more and retire, some of his fans even feel that way. I agree with you 100% on this here! No arguments and yes he should just tuck it in and retire. He really needs to give it up and the 37% shooting all year was an indication to me he is done. His contract is huge and he won't leave that off the table either, he will play out next year and get hurt again a few times and then probably re-sign for another year or two as that would not surprise me. He loves the game too much.
