They didn't have to shoot her. They should have just tased her again and arrested her. Simple as that. In fact, it should have been done the first time.

i didn't know i had control over what gets covered in the mainstream media. anyways, a young lady was murdered and instead of showing empathy, you try to prove some shallow point, sad.

If you walk into a police station with a butcher knife and charge at cops with their guns drawn chances are pretty damn good they'll shoot you.

town I lived most of my life and the same HS. What's most annoying as is everyone on FB liking the "I support Longview Police Department" page. The blind support is nauseating. There's a lot to think about. They're both morons. He HAD her down. If it weren't for that then I'd be all in on the "SUPPORT LPD!!!!" bandwagon. Then, did she actually have a knife in her hand at the end? If so, her, she wanted to die. If not, those lazy grown men cops. He already had shown how easy it was to throw her ass down.

A) if the police identified her as enough of a threat to take her down, there's no excuse to not cuff or restrain her further. If they thought she was dangerous and had claimed to have a gun, why would you let her back up?
B) afterwards, she charged at an officer with a butcher knife. The result of which was obvious and justified.
Question A is the only thing at issue here, and the cop should face some sort of departmental criticism or even being fired (for allowing a potential threat to get back up after being restrained). If he had trouble cuffling her, he could have pinned her down until others arrived

I know you're joking but even if she did say something to that effect, you don't just ing step AWAY from her. It's like the cop was just a regular guy that owns her then steps back to give her a chance to think about it cause he doesn't wanna keep fighting.
