Lakers got a nice upgrade at the starting SG spot with this guy. 17ppg on 52% over his last 5 games.

    Could hurt their tanking efforts.

Never thought that was possible but Swaggy's assist to shot ratio is about to hit historic records.

    WTF are you talking about?

gy "shoe house" P is a horrible basketball player, but he's been a net-positive on the court while Kirby has been a massive net-negative.

Not than current Kobe... over Kobe's career, I would agree.

Those numbers aren't adjusted for teammates..

Kobe's RAPM is much better than Swaggy C's this season..

Sample size is PLENTY big enough to compensate for lineups.

It would be one thing if they were within an acceptable margin of error, like +/- 5 pts. But gy is beasting him on a 17pt differential, you can't ignore that.

That's irrelevant, those are unadjusted numbers, which are heavily flawed..it doesn't compensate for lineups..

Kobe has been one of the worst players in the league this season, but so has Swaggy..

Is ESPN's RPM essentially the equivalent to RaPM?

It has Swaggy at -1.13 and Kobe at -2.31.

    no it's not adjusted
    I believe it is:

RPM stats are provided by Jeremias Engelmann in consultation with Steve Ilardi. RPM is based on Engelmann's xRAPM (Regularized Adjusted Plus-Minus). Play-by-play data provided by Basketball-Reference.com.

Kirby played with the same teammates against the same opponents as gy

If you look at their on/off metrics, gy is a minor positive and Kobe is a major negative

But Harlem has to reach to backup his "Kobe is top 10" schtick, so he plays the "RAPM" card without producing any evidence of where he is getting his numbers

    His agenda is pretty clear

Until he produces the maths, he's full of and just on another one of his bull trolling schticks

who is the worst starting PG in the past 50 years Enrique or Rose

Oh wait, fail, tbh..I was looking at the wrong link..

They have virtually the same RAPM, this season, but Kobe is still superior, as he has way more possessions and minutes..
