a) Players are ranked based on entire careers, not 3 quarters, one or two games
b) Nobody will ever rank Klay, Gervin or Anthony top 10 because of one quarter
c) No advanced stats will support Kobe in the top 10
d) Those 81 points was done during an "antiquated" league where iso play was the norm, and sophisticated defensive sets were not the norm. The championship team run iso plays for Dirk and Howard non-stop, the runner ups run iso plays for Wade relying on FTs all year, the defending champs were all 4-down with iso plays for Manu sprinkled in.
e) That Raptors team had a defensive rating of 112.7, which is worse than every single no-defense playing team in the 1986 AND 1987 season, only 0.2 better than the worst team in 1988, and 03 better than the worst team in 1985.
f) Charles Oakley once grabbed 35 rebounds in a game, nobody will ever rank Oakley as a top 10 of all time talent.
g) Bill Russell owns 3 of the top 5 rebounding games in NBA history. I don't know how anyone can deny his spot in the top 10, tbh
h) It's apparent that your sudden 180 turn on Lebron is causing you to overrate Kobe so that you can push Lebron out of the top 10, but too bad, there is a whole list of players who are better than Kobe. And if you use advanced stats, which is what you have been pushing for a while now, Kobe would have trouble cracking the top 20.![]()
