Finally a respectable opponent again ... Chicago was the last one and the outcome was disappointing. Hope that the Spurs continue their dominance over the Clips this season.

What does GS have that the Clips don't? Clips are just as talented on paper. Off topic but just curious.
Outside shooting, for one. The Clips are highly dependent upon interior penetration from Paul or Crawford, or working inside out from Blake, who isn't the best post-up player. You saw it last year in the playoffs -- OKC sagged off the Clippers and their entire ball movement shut down.

The Warriors are also much more adept at moving the ball and finding the open player, which is easier to do when your guys can camp out behind the 3 point line and be serious threats.

The Clippers defense is also vulnerable to mismatches. Blake is not a rim protector, and Jordan can be exploited by good post play or by being too aggressive and picking up fouls.

Hey, glad to hear your prediction, but I thought you were supposed to be making the threads, since you are like "All wins to Zero" when you start the threads! I like Ace 3g's threads just fine, but man, you bring us luck, so make sure that you are here on the site for us tonight, okay?

don't think I'm supers ious, though.
I'll definitely be on the site and watching the game, my friend! Yes, we're undefeated when I've made game threads, but don't worry Ace 3's got this one. The Spurs are in good hands!! Just got a good feeling about this tonight.

And I'm supers ious as they come when it comes to the Spurs. (Even down to a dumb tradition I had last playoffs when I added a pic to my signature after every win. No logic or reason to it at all. That got completely ridiculous...)

Warriors have a better pg, sg, sf, and center. Their pf is a better defender as well.

He might want to avoid being embarrassed by cp3, but I don't think Tony will be "himself" again until at least after the ASG...

I expect/hope a huge game from Kawhi, they have nobody relevant at the 3

I'm the same way, leads to some interesting traditions and habits on game day for sure.

    Pregame Quotes 1/31/15

    Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich:

(On the balance of role players being in the right place vs. slowly developing over time…)
“I think it’s a combination of both. Most players in the NBA are role players if you think about it. They’re all playing so they figured out a place to go. It’s about whether if there’s a situation where they can find minutes. Some role players end up being really important like a Bruce Bowen or a DeMarre Carroll in Atlanta or somebody like that. The situation is important. I think that since the NBA is mostly made up of role players that’s what we’re a league of. ”

Watching the Clippers pregame broadcast. Sean Elliott is the guest.

Sean says that for the first time he thinks "the Spurs are too old" narrative is starting to have some merit.

The Clips announcers, predictably, use the "flying under the radar" mantra . . .

Well, I guess it's just another January in Spursland.

Should be nice gauge on what tp can do because he usually steps up his intensity vs cp3.

I agree with Sean tbh. Kawhi makes the rest of our team look a bunch of geriatrics.
